  • Agree your keyer is sending fine. Never knew Icom had a IC-7000s which goes to show how different Euro and Asia market is different from U.S. like automotive industry.

I would love a IC-7000s! Please contact me if I could get one.

  • I see that on your analog power meter you are showing 5 watts. But on 40m, the ic 7000 puts out 50 watts at 50% power (where you set the rf power). The meter on the ic 7000 also shows 50% power (not 5% power which is where it should be for 5 watts), when you key. It would appear to someone familiar with the IC-7000 that you are actually putting out 50 watts, not 5. Your other qrp video (LZ DX Contest) shows your radio putting out the appropriate 5% power on its meter, please explain.

I am not using IC-7000 but IC-7000S. The maximum output power of IC-7000S is 10 watts. Thank you. 73.

  • Why does your keyer keep sending 2Q2UOZ instead of JQ2UOZ. Is that the reason for all the "?" and repeats?

  • @minnie4mouse

My keyer is sending "JQ2UOZ". Please listen carefully. 73

  • Five watts on HF CW is indeed all that one needs for fun -- and a good antenna.... great video.
