Trees are actually really difficult to draw.

I'm pretty much self taught, though I do look at other portrait artist on YouTube (who are a lot better than me) draw, which definitely helps.

great picture :) im really to stuggling to do shading that lookes natural, does that just come in time with lots of practice?

Yeah it pretty much does, but the key to it is contrast. You can't go in shading the whole face, you to need to leave a lot of highlights but also have your dark shadows.

Look at portraits and see what they do different to yours and you'll learn a lot from that :) Good luck!
