my favz from sridevi are Lamhe, Chaalbaaz, Mr India, Khuda Gawah, Laadla, Judaai, Gumrah, Nagina, Nigahen, Mr Bechara, Army, Chandni, and many others... in each one she delivers an excellent performance... with regards to Heer Ranjha, my personal favourite is the 1970 Punjabi version from Pakistan, as well as the Indian one that released the same year. Sridevi, however, still did justice to her role and looked awesome as a Punjabi heroine

She is da best, and gud human being ,down to earth. This saroj khan is really bitch.She tells i made all actresses dancers. even once once she told about vyjayantimala too on some show. offcourse she was good choreogrpher but ill minded. she knows taking advatange of situations well. Sri is working in industry some around 1969 or 68 i think .she might met and interacted more peoples wen she top in telugu, tamil etc. even tough she is sooo humble. who else can give another moonram pirai,

she is the best....i have lost the count for mr india, chaalbaaz, chandni, sadma, lamhe,khuda gawah, judaai, laadla, karma, Nagina, Nigahe, Heer Ranjha....for me all her films are a treat. As a child, I had danced on Main Teri Dushman, Mere haatho me nau nau chudiya and had sung hawa hawaai. My god! how many times I must have fallen down while practicing to get the energy level in these dances.

Main Teri Dushman clearly belongs to Sridevi and Saroj Khan. I CANNOT stress how many times I used to try to dance like Sridevi when I was younger and holding my hands above my head in snake mudra gave me a LOT of shoulder and forearm pains and aches but MAN OH MAN the feeling would be divine.

ooh, it's the song from Chaalbaaz !!! If/when you can , you it's a must watch movie !

That was the only item song in the movie ( thought it was still essential for the movie plot ) . All the other songs are so situational that they cannot be taken off the movie . This is the magic of the Shridevi !

The song is 'Naam mera prem kali' ... The movie was released in late '89 ( thought supposed for 1990 ) and was super hit to blockbuster in some parts !

You can watch Chaalbaaz on rajshri . Yes, I watched Mr India when it was released and many times after that... I think it's a classic and was ahead of its time ...

Sridevi is not an actress that blindly follows the director or the choreographer. She has her own words and her words are respected among her colleagues. She suggested a change in Lamhe's Tandaav, In her song Har Kisi Ko from Janbaaz and she got what she wanted and the end result was amazing. I wonder why those people like Saroj Khan who claim themselves as Gods who created the humanity not suggest such creative ideas instead of just praising themselves!!!

I always wondered why the Lamhe 'Tandav' was changed to 'Moments of Rage' -- clearly, Sridevi has an artist's mind for innovation! Kudos to Yash Chopra for obliging her request to NOT repeat herself (how novel in Bollywood!)

And as he says, she is indeed the "finest actress we have -- in every way".

Looking at this interview it appears that off screen Sri is VERY down to earh & humble & very shy too... the best thing about her that she gave credit to others for her performances in her songs! It was so sweet of her wen she was asked to comment on contemporary vulgar dances being done...she simply said in a very sweet way.."No..I have no rights to comment on this.." Guys u have seen wat Harmesh Malhotra said about the song main teri dushman (nagina). Even Lata Mangeshkar said that she did not like the song when she sang it. Later she was so surprised that the song became a RAGE as she used to hear it everywhere. Lata Said "Finally when I had the opportunity to watch the song I knew that Sridevi made this song to click in a big way. She danced and acted very well in the song"

Wow, what a thorough professional she is. A point to be noted is that unlike actors who do one film at a time and devote complete time to the particular character, she used to do many films at a time (working in shifts) and still did complete justice to all characters she played.
