10 years ago my ex-girlfriend could have been audrey hepburn's twin sister their facial and figure resemblance is unbelievable and my ex was also a ballet teacher, except I didn't even know who Audrey Hepburn was back then. 8 years later I finally got to watch Breakfast at Tiffany's & now I'm a huge and adoring fan, I haven't turned gay or anything, but I would have trouble telling any of my buddies this, they wouldn't understand LOL

The executives had a point, this scene plus Mickey Rooney's scenes don't seem to fit into the movie, but still this scene is soooo beautiful and is a fav for many HP fans and the Japanese character so wrong but still so funny even today.
Poor George Peppard. He goes from working in this film with Hepburn and in The Blue Max with James Mason to doing The A Team with Mr. T. I guess that's the "biz" part of showbiz.

Secondly...when the executives saw this scene of Audrey singing "moon river" they insisted it was the worst part of the movie and wanted it cut. Audrey stood up and said "cut this from the movie over my dead body!"......the part remained and the rest is history.
There might be a more arresting shot than the slightly out of focus close-up of AH at about the :35 second mark, but I have not seen it in a film yet.

The best version of this song ever! Shirley Bssey put too much oomph into it and Andrea Ross made it too new and Jenifer Love Hewitt made it sound too poppy but Audrey Hepburn sings it soo soft and laid back i love it!!! <3

well that's completely not true. I mean I definitely agree about the part about Mickey Rooney being portrayed as a Japanese man, that was really racially insensitive. But the director said that he really regrets that and that was one of the things he would change in the movie. So they didn't really mean to offend anyone. Regardless this is still a beautiful movie.

My mother used to sing this song to me when I was a baby, apparently.
Of course I didn't remember, so when I watched this movie for the first time (I was about fourteen) I was stricken by an intense case of 'deja-vu'!
