@vbp6us Tapping on the adjustment screws sometimes helps to get the reticle moved when you are adjusting a scope. I'm sure it's unnecessary to do that on an Eotech but it's just a habit that my buddy has.
@CharlieDoan Well, fortunately we likely won't be fighting for our lives with this AR. It's purely for recreation and sport. I do agree with you about having a backup though. I carry my AR with an Aimpoint and backup iron sights even though it's a flat-top model.
Thank you for your service! We are all in your debt for what you gave to our country!
With all the locusts in the background this has got to be in Texas. Probably in late june or july. Nice gun also. I recently bought a bushmaster but i havent hardly got to shoot it!
Two questions. Why do you tap the EOTECH like that? I am getting a eotech soon on my AR and I need to sight it in. Also, how did you paint the safe and fire red and white?

I actually hand painted both our ARs stamped lettering. It's Testors model paint in flat red and flat white. I used a superfine microbrush and just dropped paint into the lettering. Then wipe off any excess with thinner on a paper towel.
We always use ear protection .......they are the sport ears that go way down in your ear that are custom made....... yes sorry for no eye protection but usually have shooting glasses on but have no idea we did not this time......
good video! but, ouch on the ears

Is it the FS don't bother you

@iyalakantomanen
The front sight is really not in the way. With the appropriate rear sight, it will cowitness easily with the Eotech.

Why do you tap the optical sight before adjusting? I'm about to zero my gun in one of these days.

I agree! I mean, seeing someone shooting is only half the picture. I like to see how good they are as well.
