  • Thanks for posting this. I appreciate learning where to start and how to progress from there.

  • Maybe that big hole in the sock on the left foot is what they wear these days in White Fish to be stylish; or is it a sign of something else. Maybe his hip bursitis makes him drag that foot.

  • lol why dont you just fuck he's ass that would be more intresting lmao and why does he have a hole in his socks lol

  • the third exercise works the gluteus medius because there is abduction of the thigh, but when the leg is rotated externally, the gluteus medius is unactivated. The thigh should be rotated internally to fully active gluteus medius.

  • @lano01 how is that? gluteus medius laterally and medially rotates the hip. it is the only gluteal muscle that does both. so it wouldnt deactivate that muscle if he "rotates externally" and because all three gluteal muscles abduct the hip even if gluteus medius didnt laterally and medially rotate the hip it would still be working just not as hard as gluteus maximus.

  • to people who watch this: the gluteus medius rotates the thigh medially (internally) and also abducts the thigh. I doin't know who the guy in the video is, but his not giving the correct information.

The first exercise works your HIP EXTENSORS (piriformis, gemellus inferior, gemellus superior, obturator internus, obturator externus, and Quadratus Femoris)

The second exercise (modified from the first one) actually works the gluteus medius because the leg is abducting.

  • @lano01 btw piriformis is so not a hip extensor. it laterally rotates the hip and abducts the hip when the hip is flexed..... its origin is the anterior surface of the sacrum and inserts onto the superior aspect of the greater trochanter. it in no way can extend the hip it would have to be on the posterior surface of the sacrum to do that

  • the first exercise in this video is more for priformis than glut med, isn't?

  • Seriously why judge all Americans by one guy's socks?? What does that say about you....hmmmm

  • Understanding information. Thank you so much. Michael (south shores of Lake Michigan)

  • what do u say at 2:38? thx

  • Good video. I'm a PT and feel its better to do 10 sec holds per repetition. Once you can do 10 reps at 10sec each, move on to next level. Another way to cheat besides rotating your pelvis, is by hiking it upward toward your shldr, so keep aware of that.

  • Dudes got holy dirty socks...... americans...... what frumps!!!!

  • Rotton!!

  • Mate I couldn't catch you name at the start of the video...but thanks for this video, it has helped me a lot!
