i dont know any thing about edelbrock cant say much never used any of their stuff but i went from a 750 Qjet to a 650Holly talk about a big improvement with the Q jet i would floor it it would just go waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm and nothing happened now with the holly i floor it at the tires at least it used to till they started doing this 10% ethonall stuff that turns into gell if u let it sit for a week now to haul ass i have to run premium or add octane booster
I think that noise was the starter - not the clutch. :)

It is usally hard to get started? Sounds like the carb was loaded up a little, after it stalled.
