  • Good ending credits, nice to see Dick Clark actually stuck around back then to chat. Seems from '82 onward, he'd salute and just walk off the set to leave the other players to talk at the desks.

  • @wdm1219 When "Pyramid" moved to L.A., CBS had certain guidelines for keeping game show neat, perfect and consistent. Also, longtime Bob Stewart producer Bruce Burmester was no Mike Gargiulo (who had refused to move to California) as the series director. From his days as director of Stewart's "Password, " "To Tell the Truth," and "The Price is Right" (during Stewart's Goodson-Todman days), Gargiulo always captured spontaneity & warmth; Burmester' direction was rather rigid and mechanical.

  • Bob Clayton R.I.P. Good Job!

  • Ah, Sunday nights on GSN during the dark period.... Hollywood Connection, Break the Bank, 20000 Pyramid, then Hot Potato and Chain Reaction. Nothing dark about them!!!

  • And the departing contestant tags and credits were shown without constant GSN self promotions!

  • who agrees with me though that it DID sound like nipsey?

  • oh. it sounded a heck of a lot like him, that's for sure.)

  • wait a second, is that nipsey russell doing the prize plugs?

  • No.

  • nope that was the late Bob Clayton that's announcing the Prize Plugs.
