i think she has to realize you have to be a different person in your interviews than you are when people are just talking to you on the street... like how she was sarcastic... her personality reflects how she is as an artist (not saying i dont love her) but like i guess she has to expect people to ask her about her sister.

Also, there are many examples of siblings who start out in the shadow of their more famous brother or sister. Janet Jackson for one, began her career after Michael Jackson's and was always compared to him at the beginning. I don't once remember her having an attitude when she was being interviewed. I've always known her to be gracious and polite. In the end her talent shined through.

This interviewer, not being in the know about american performers in general and obviously uninformed about Solange in particular, brought up subjects that she prefers not to discuss. Still, Solange gave a professional and classy perfomance.

Though it must be annoying to always have Beyonce's name come up in an interview, she should learn to take it in stride. Until she properly establishes herself as a credible artist, she is going to be known as 'Beyonce's sister', that is inevitable. Once she shows that she can hold her own, it will stop. She's still rude. There are many 'bigger' artists who also get up at the some time to promote their records and ultimately get people to hopefully buy their music. It simply doesn't excuse this kind of behaviour. She's in a very privileged position.

I see your point. But equally, if you really love your sibling, you'd be happy for their success. Also, there are many examples of siblings who start out in the shadow of their more famous brother or sister. Janet Jackson for one, began her career after Michael Jackson's and was always compared to him at the beginning. I don't once remember her having an attitude when she was being interviewed. I've always known her to be gracious and polite. In the end her talent shined through.

This interviewer, not being in the know about american performers in general and obviously uninformed about Solange in particular, brought up subjects that she prefers not to discuss. Still, Solange gave a professional and classy perfomance.

It is so horrible that Solange is introduced as Beyonce's sister,LOL. It only reflects a lack of confidence that solange is reacting in such an unappealing manner. She should be proud when she is introduced as B's sister and say to the host, yeah, isn't she wonderful, Beyonce. Solange just get over it and Thank GOD for what you have and are able to do, just sang girl. Blessings!

Though it must be annoying to always have Beyonce's name come up in an interview, she should learn to take it in stride. Until she properly establishes herself as a credible artist, she is going to be known as 'Beyonce's sister', that is inevitable. Once she shows that she can hold her own, it will stop. I don't hear Jessica's name coming up every minute in Ashlee's interviews anymore. In the meantime, she should consider it an honor to be compared to her sister because Beyonce is a class act.
