thanks for doing this. i had my gallbladder removed 3 years ago ever since then i've been really ill with my stomach. it's hard to eat right at restaurants. if you dont need your gallbladder removed dont do it. the side affect of getting it removed is Crohns disease which i have now. i cry all the time in pain and scared to eat out with friends. the last time i have a gallbladder attack i collapsed on the floor and a few days later and the surgery.
@crazy4GMH I know so many people who had their gallbladder removed and have no problems at all. My neighbor had her removed a couple of years ago and within a week she could eat everything again. I think you're just the unlucky ones, and I'm sorry for that, but that doesn't mean it's normal.
Very informative, thanks. 2 weeks ago i started getting oressure under and behind my lowest rib, right side.....so i'm guessing i have gallstone, i hope the swelling dont get nay wrose than it is, pain at about a 3-4 not too painful yet but uncomfortable, plus it is doing a number on my mind, because i'm thinking the worst! does the swelling go down eventually? I wont se my doctor for another 9 days, ER if it gets worse! did you have swelling?
@DianeDi sorry i will never not eat meat, I'm a lost cause for you LOL and actually no matter what I eat my stomach acts up pretty much, and I can handle milk just fine.
the best thing you can do is cut out all dairy.. this does not seem like a healthy diet for anyone.
one of my best friends nearly lost thier gall bladder. they switched to a vegan diet and have had no issue for over 10 years. it's that simple.. the cream cheese is. verry verry bad for you.
@kirbonite First of all this was only SOME of the foods i eat and actually compared to what most people eat this is healthy... skim, low fat milk, wheat bread, salad aren't healthy? Actually that's odd cause tomatoes, lettuce, spinach and citrus fruits are actually horrible for a GALLBLADDER diet. And nope, in my case cheese is the only dairy that bothers my gallbladder. Everyone is different.. Cream cheese in moderation, esp considering its nonfat is just fine, thanks for the advice.
@kirbonite Oh yeah and I never said this was a healthy diet I said this is some of the foods I eat.for my gallbladder problem which is totally different that just a normal diet.
@kirbonite And another thing you sound very rude, You've never had a gb problem your FRIEND DID. i didn't ask for anyone's approval or critique in what im doing. The gallbladder is actually NOT simple at all considering ive lived with it for nearly a year now and u have no idea what your talking about lol Maybe you should look up what irritates the gb which is a lot of what veagans eat.
NOOOOOOO way thats not the only thing you have watch your acidic intake because the gallbladder not only take the oil from foods it also digest the acids so if you dont have gallbladder no more besides fatty foods dont eat acidic foods at all. I am trying to help people because i got worst now so dont drink juices because they are too concentrate in acid just drink water a lot and eat fruits and that make you feel better and your tummy will be happy.
@JensMakeup19 Yes hun! spicy food, any kind of fried or real fatty foods, the key is to stay as lowfat as you can. Nothing over 6 grams of fat with each meal or even snack. Some people can't handle dairy either. Also, limit yourself w/junk food. And no soda cause the carbonation makes the stones move around which causes the pain :/ let me give you my blog i talk about all that stuff there =) i will link it in the description box!
when i have gallbladder problem my Dr said green like lettuce and stuff will cause you galbladder to fair up if you have galstones .. are you gonn have to have surgery? if so it isn't bad at all. has the lettuce bothered you at all?
Good for you for having such a good diet! I know when my mom had gallbladder issues and attacks she had zero grease, almost no fat (to be fair she was also a gym addict and ate low fat food anyway) mostly roasted chicken and stuff like that. I hope they can remove your gallbladder soon, I know surgery is scary, but at least you wouldn't be in pain as often.
@aredhella Thank you ma'am!!! yeah im actually proud of myself, even though i physically shouldn't eat bad foods anyway i damn well could and just not care about the pain but im actually turning this into a positive and sticking to a real healthy low fat diet! and didn't you see she never got hers out?
@babyphatgurlee No, she didn't get hers out, her gallbladder eventually calmed down, but I know that's kind of strange. Surgery really isn't that bad darlin', I've done two major operations, both with general, it's not nearly as bad as you think it will be, and besides, for a gallbladder they should be able to do it laproscopically so you only have tiny cuts instead of one big incision.

If you "really" want to feel better - don't eat ANY animal products or by-products (dairy/eggs).

It's hard to argue with these facts.
