Noir is the French for black.

Film noir are visuals of low-key, black and white cinematography that emphasies devilish attitudes and emotions. Translating that to the term 'pop noir', I should think it just means, low-key, bleak melodies with a pop beat.

@Joelstoneis i hate em too, but "pop noir" is translated "dark pop", so i think he means "dark wave" if u no that. Kindof slightly melancholic popular music.
