Yeah I'd have to agree this game is horrible on load times. Idea factory doesn't know what they hell they are doing. Nis should have just released the PS2 version because !F Obviously doesn't know how to port to PSP properly. I can't play the game with both animations off. I need my attack animations to keep my head in the game and not get bored. But I turn off the movment ones and it helped me deal with the load time.

I have the UMD and mine doesnt load nearly as much as the one in the video. Still, the loading in this game sucks, the last thing I want is to wait in the middle of lighting someone on fire.
I'm hacking my PSP this weekend just for this. It's frustrating, as I have a legally purchased copy of Spectral Souls... just... it's almost unplayable. I want to see all the move effects, but need to turn them off to keep my sanity.
my word the load time seems terrible! some UMD games are fine for loading times - ridge racer 2,tekken , tales of eternia etc wander why this ones so bad

I read load time is really bad so I guess the first one is UMD and second one is ISO.

This UMD is the exact reason I hacked my psp. Even dialogue prompts the game to "Disc Access". B-R-U-T-A-L !

if you have the original umd then go in to options and take of the special effects and walk it will speed things up then you can enjoy it more.

The left one is the UMD, and the right one is the ISO, both running at 222MHz on a version 3.03 OE-C firmware PSP.
