This Song is all the emotions in my heart. It tells a story of a young women so sad and lonely then she sees her true love walking up the path. She runs into his arms and they make love so passionatly that the gods above cry. then when he leaves again she is sad. but also happy that she go tto hold him again. Thats what i feel when i hear this piece.
@mistuhbk Too true. There arent any for this video because there isnt any reason to not like it. im sure even a music hater would feel moved by this piece and convert into the fold of those that do.
I listen to 10-12 of his songs almost on a daily basis....how lucky I am to have had my son find his music.....from the background of a video game on some gaming site....
Everytime I play this song somewhere, it seems that the whole room is quiet in silence waiting for the next powerful emotion to strike. This song makes me want to cry every time I play it, and I've played Evening Chat a lot. Isaac Shepard is like some new kind of era in the history of music. The music he writes and playes is very emotional and happy-giving. He's shown me to true meaning of Deep Joy.
Issac Shepard is good, but doesn't it seem like all of his music sounds kinda the same? Like you can compare any two of his songs, and they sound quite alike. And his music is kinda only good the first time you hear it. But that's just me... he's good, but not that great haha.
@kewldude4life what are you talking about?? every single of his songs express different feelings and situations and sometimes you need one or another to hear i just can't understand you how plain can you be to consider these songs "the same"
@furiouspyre Well personally I kinda think that most of his music - that I have heard at least - sounds alike. The mood that his music sets is really the same; if you listened to all of his music in a row - with simple bridges to account for any key changes - it'd seem like one (slightly annoyingly slow) song... cause it's quite alike. The first time I heard his music, I thought it was good, but I just can't see myself listening to his music repeatedly.
@furiouspyre But hey... that's just my opinion... I don't mean to "hate" on him or anything like that. And really what does it matter... he makes a living making this music for people who really enjoy it like you, and clearly a lot of people really like him. All I meant to say was that he's not as great as some of these comments make him seem... he's good, but not great - in my opinion.
Issac Shepard's pieces of work have so much feeling and emotion into them... its way different from other composers... after i heard his songs i had a hard time going back to playing classical music... xD
During the song "Letting Go" I was about to cry because it just brought back some memories. So, you're right Giggityguitarist, he is the most heartfelt composer
my favorite classical piano composer: Modest Mousourgsky
my favorite modern piano composer: Isaac Shepard

I concur with furious to be honest, I can listen to his whole album without getting bored, it's good stuff. But I see what you're getting at.
