I'm reading "Billy Bishop Goes to War" that he collaborated on with John Gray. I would have loved to have gotten the chance to see him perform it onstage. <:)
I'm an American, so that is kind of foreign to me. Do Canadian entertainment stars living in Canada and the average Canadian co-mingle with each other in society? If they do, that is incredibly cool. I think it kind of adds to their character and, ironically, their visibility, that they, despite all of their fame, do not feel like they are above everybody else and will not abandon the society they came from and helped to foster their development, both personally and professionally.
well the canuck stars in canada aren't followed around by paparazi because i think there is a law against that (maybe) but they do mingle cuz the corner gas stars said "we don't wanna feel above others, we like to chill with them sometimes in public"
I've encountered of number of personalities in downtown Toronto, Scott Thompson (Kids in the Hall) getting on the subway, David Suzuki (Nature of Things) enjoying a peaceful lunch on his own in a food court. I've also seen Danny Masterson (Hyde, that 70's show) outside of bookshop hanging out with his friends, Tia Carrere when she was here for Relic Hunter. And in all cases, no swarming fans pestering for autographs nor the paparazi vermin, just living their lives among a respectful populace.
Indeed, even during higher profile events like the Much Music awards celebrities are generally left alone up here. It's a wonder that every celebrity on the planet doesn't have a cabin in the woods up here or something.
haha no, he was there on purpose. My friends mom is a caterer and she was having a huge dinner party at her house. He is friends of the family so he showed up.
Oh yeah, because our education system is so terrible! Wow, I always forget Americans know so much about Canadian culture. Please, TELL ME MORE Pr27ingle.

If any of you like Eric Peterson checkout the film "The King of Friday Night."
He plays a ghost/Rock and Roller and is truly awesome!
There's a clip of it on You Tube and I believe there's also a DVD of it available.
