Yeah if you have a thousand bucks to throw down... I think I'll stick with only $200 or so for a strictly-gaming machine. Computers are made for word processing and such. Again, I don't have to buy a new sound card or anything like that. PCs get outdated too and cost more to replace.

Price is really the only upside to a console. and computers WERE made for word processing, now days the PC is as big a gaming medium as consoles and going back to the price thing with PC yes you pay alot more (depending on what hardware you're fishing for) but you get alot more, the whole tweaking with video cards or just overclocking the whole system whereas console what you see is what you get thus restrictive to the max.

That's an issue for PCs that if it didn't exist it would be a lot more clear cut on what the best hardware is and we would never have arguments about Nvidia vs ATI.

Consoles, while restricted in advancement of hardware per generation of console, aren't realistically as hampered by it as PCs are.

but again I have to still say that consoles are strictly made for gaming. don't get me wrong some games are better for the computer. You do have the option of widgets etc. But I find that console gaming can be a lot more fun. There are restrictions, but there is also a lot to be said for the consoles. I find them enjoyable. You're entitled to like PC gaming but I think I will stick with the consoles personally.
