Do you think it's normal for the DC IN to have a little play in it when pushed?

The keyboard is almost identical to the white macbook. But PC's are better than macs by far. And I have experienced both Macbook and Dell XPS and the XPS beats it down to the floor.

Its a good laptop with what IMO is a good 1600x900 screen (could use more contrast though, but brightness levels are relatively high).
Its weakness is that it uses an older generation ATI HD3470 GPU. Better than Intel's GMA line, and capable of playing pre 2003-games at over 30fps for the most part on the laptop's native resolution of 1600x900 (Halo: CE, Heroes of Might and Magic V, WoW etc), but it isn't very strong overall.
However, this was a good value latop. I got it for CAD$999 last Sept

Blu-ray is not a video card, I swear. Blu-ray is a technology that requires a special kind of DVD that records HD content. These discs have lots of room, 50 Gb on some of them. To the point, a graphics/video card cannot be replaced by an optical drive, not my opinion, it's a fact.
Also, an Xbox 360 has a video card (X1950 XTX, modded version) and has nothing to do with what your laptop has as a video card.
what i meant, is that, instead of spending money on the model that has the ati card, i bought the model with bluray, my laptop does have a videocard, but one of those intel integrated one.
Hey man I like the vid and the laptop is cool I just want to tell you that you should refrain from moving any computer on the carpet because static electricity can really mess up the hard drive just a warning
I'm pretty sure RAM will not affect game performance that much if at all. Plus if your running Vista 32 bit, it does not even recognize the extra 1GB of RAM.
What i did and recommend you do is go to mobility modder and use updated modded drivers which substantially boost game performance. The drivers they give you never update and are garbage to begin with. I get a smooth playable frame rate on medium.
I'm watching this on my new Vaio FW. LOL Mines silver. I have the 250J with 350GB HDD, 4GB RAM (everything else is the same, though not sure about the blue ray). I got mine for a little less than 900 (without the warranty(ies)). Did yours come with alot of pre-installed bloatware? Mine did and it was a bitch to uninstall.
yea sony loves sticking bloatware into their laptops and PCs. It's a nuisance to uninstall everything too. I also ended up installing the program "vaio event service" and it messed up my top buttons xD but i got the program back from their site

Get the FW or a Z series!! The SR has been going downwards for a while in terms of Sony's new laptops. AND MAKE SURE you get one with the "Full HD screen" If i could go back and do anything to the laptop, i would change the screen to the Full HD screen which is just amazing from what i've heard. As for the games, you can play them on widescreen or standard 4:3 just by picking a setting on your game. You can pick a resolution too.
Also, I think the FW 300 series comes with the Full HD standard but dont remove it! It's well worth the money. I think it comes with the 3650 GPU as well which is better than the 3470 I got in mine and should get you a lot better performance in games.

The Vaio is a much better value in terms of performance per dollar, the only reason you should get the macbook instead is if you are partial to OSX.
Remember, the Vaio has a 16.4 inch screen compared to the Macbooks 13, they are just different classes of laptop.
