FYI Terence brother Dennis is currently writing a book called 'The Brotherhood of the Screaming Abyss'. Which is a memoir of sorts about his journeys through the Amazon at a young age with his brother Terence.
@powergirl901 yeah, but if you actually listen to them I think you will here that Terence lives it a little more than Das does. Terence is it, and sometimes it waffles. Das seems to be a little formulaic and woowoo. imo
@DexterFabulous Ram Dass was born a rich kid, and to some extent never got past that...but according to legend, this was the case with the original awakened one as well. McKenna...love his ideas, and I am anxiously awaiting the eschaton..the singularity awaiting us all at the end of time...it appears to be late.
I like what Ram Dass was saying about minds perferring the artifacts of another time over the current time. Those artifacts, (which are effects) aren't creating the time. Meanwhile few are looking at the causes behind the existence of those artifacts...well, that's our ego doing the investigating, so it sees things stuck in time, rather than things being carried along BY time.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not suggesting that, for example, batman can defeat superman. They are both superheros. But, for some reason, Jewish folks seem to struggle with their ingrained tribalism which is based on the idea that they are the "chosen people" of God. There seems to be a tendency for some to celebrate human achievement in categories such as "Jewish Achievement", etc. Ram Dass is insightful, but tends towards tribalism imo. McKenna was a true intellectual imo.
So beautiful to see in action and interaction. I used to attend talks with Ram Dass and even sat with him for a week in up-state NY. This is so valuably different. There is so much here in and in the spaces of this interplay. It is powerful to hear the truth of being responding to the "What's gonna happen now"'s and the like. Without taking too lightly the dualistic, grappling stuff, and without detaching the spiritual work from it. So grateful to you for posting this and for my being led to it

"what are you wafffling about? What are you holding onto that is more valuable than your message?" (great comment from Ram Dass).

That's a fantastic quote. Two amazingly knowledgeable men.. so addicting to watch.

@xxxserialxxx and whats so absurd about that statement is that Terrence puts himself down, when he is just so beautiful!

Was Terence eating cake? I always imagined he would steer away from saturated fats. Thought he'd be more the Omega3 kinda fella'
