and when you put X:Y divisible by Z, you get A:B. in this case 10:1. my point is, in order to get a 10:1 kill ratio, you have to first have kill counts to go by. what kill counts have you encountered? and how credible can they really be considered if they aren't official numbers? do you think some guy from the red cross just walks around with an abacus and a pair of binoculars just counting the bodies? give me some stats, not figures of speech. hard lined facts. numbers talk. bullshit walks

1. because you thought you implied that I meant everyone of them are women and it's the sole reason of them fighting and winning by saying "it's more than just women" and list out some other reasons. In which I quickly pointed out that i carefully used to word "most"

2. so let me spell it out for you: the french struggle did not just include vietcong, but also other parties, which later on play a part in the south government. So whatever experience vietcong gained from fighting french, the south government had.

communism was saving them as an impoverished nation. everyone was working together for the greater good. they wanted a unified vietnam under communism. russia was making sure of that. we went there to fight because of this. vietnam is a key region in southeast asia. if communism succeeded there, it was feared that it would spread to other nations there like wildfires. so yes, their 'driving force' was communist ideals. put down the english book and pick up a fucking history book

how can you say communism is a plague? its done wonders for china, and helped bring vietnam back into international reconciliation. minus the oppression through corruption, its actually got some favorable philosophical view points.

The vietcong are deeply divided between the southern liberty front and northern government over power. those who's faithful to the south liberty front were phased out a month right after north vietnam gained control of the south. division also seen between groups who supported ho chi minh and other then important figures.

Being vietnamese american doing research awhile on the vietnam war itself and vietnam history as a whole, as well as listening to many first hand accounts told by people involved in the war,I think I know what communism is. As for countering my point by explaining to me what communism is, it's completely irrelevant. we are not arguing what the definition of communism, we are talking about history of communism in vietnam. I don't spend time debating the vietnam war on youtube. I did research on it out of partly interest because it is part of my heritage, and because I'm surrounded by part and pieces of that memory as I grew up because all my relatives are directly related to that war. However, it's not my passion. My passion is aviation. Since i created my account, I only sent this guy my analysis on fundamental fails of communism theoretically and practically, but that's because he was asking me to.

my point with the part about the french and english, since you can't seem to grasp it, was that we were going against battle hardened people who knew the terrain they were fighting on far better than we did. they had an elaborate tunnel system, which we could not gain control of. and as far as the numbers go, both sides did some exaggerating with their kill counts, there really isn't much of a way to determine who killed more of who during that war

the exactly numbers aren't true. than how the hell did you even refer to some kind of "official number." If you do any research from documents released by both side and countless witnesses, you know that the numbers of vietcong died in battle are multiple times that of US, thus the figure of speech 10:1 ratio was established.

did you not read my statement. i said official numbers. in every war, there HAS to be official numbers. in most cases, they are never accurate. not to a pinpoint degree. but in the case of vietnam, they had to be exaggerated in order to preserve the dwindling popularity of the war. both sides did this. which is why i said "official numbers(which aren't true)"

and even though they aren't true, they are still official numbers, and basically some of the only numbers we have to go by. what kill counts are you using? what's YOUR source? because so far you haven't listed any numbers, just a kill ratio. in case you forgot to look it up, a kill ratio is where one side has X kills, and the other has Y kills. when you take their loswet common denominator, Z, you can then devide that into X and Y, and get A and B, respectively.

and when you put X:Y divisible by Z, you get A:B. in this case 10:1. my point is, in order to get a 10:1 kill ratio, you have to first have kill counts to go by. what kill counts have you encountered? and how credible can they really be considered if they aren't official numbers? do you think some guy from the red cross just walks around with an abacus and a pair of binoculars just counting the bodies? give me some stats, not figures of speech. hard lined facts. numbers talk. bullshit walks
