  • @RalAzir i'm tired of seeing the words "post rock" whoever came up with that distinction is a pretentious tool. This is still rock n roll. Call it metal; alternative metal; melodic metal; stoner metal. All those fit in 1 way or another, but "post rock" doesn't mean anything.

  • "Basically like" "Basically like" "Basically like" "like gonna work"

  • Well, we can't all be English majors. LOL! "Kinda, thing. Kinda." I may be more articulate, but they can play guitar a hell of a lot better than I can. LOL!

  • good job there, Chinese government

  • I want New York to have a band like this. I love this band so much. One of those few acts that you just like EVERYTHING they play.

  • Lemieux6687 you got it spot on but just add Isis and God is an Astronaut in there. Red Sparowes are great

  • @skstubbies also mouth of the architect, and baroness

  • silence is just as powerfull as noise" .. hehe so right

  • you listen to top 50 rock so your opinion doesn't matter anyways

  • your shit, this band is awesome, go listen to korn

  • what an amazing band. the whole story behind it is very interesting

  • I heard this band from the 28 Weeks Later movie. Very good band.

  • did they do the soundtrack?

  • What a great band the Red Sparowes is... Really... Their music always sends shivers down my spine... And their albums are all instrumental... Thumbs up!

  • Great stuff. One thing that seems difficult to classify is what genre they actually are. It seems that anything predominantly instumental gets slung in the old "post rock" camp which I find very misleading. Also to be sure, they do not sound like Tool. They do have the same kind of artistic visual element to their live performances but Tool's guitar riffing is very minimalist in comparison to the Red Sparowes. In any case they are both great bands.

  • Uh, I was being sarcastic.

  • nepalm death?¿? learn the name of the bands..

  • NEPALM?¿?¡ learn the name of the bands and then you could talk bullshit about them..

  • Great band, and I think they are more like Mono (Japan) and mogwai

  • also Russian circles, PElican and godspeed you! black emperor the genre is post rock and Mogwai is an awesome band

  • Yeah, great bands, I recomend you The Allstar project and asobi seksu, godspeed you! black emperor is my favorite post rock band.

  • Russian Circles and Pelican are fucking incredible

  • you are pathetic...

if you say that red sparowes dont sound like tool many times in their music, you have a big problem in your ears..oh my god, the music isn´t the same,i know, sometimes have nothing to do..but please, the essence is tool..just art metal..

Poor person, tool mtv pop band..i respect tool but they arent my favourite band for nothing but you saying that..fuck you man, so fuck you again.

  • No Tool is NOT a MTV pop band... are you fucking kidding me? They have been in several lawsuits with their record company over artistic control of their music. They're music and direction goes beyond the materialistic view

I love this band, no disrespect. This reminds me alot of Neurosis

  • josh gramme is in neurosis and therefore they are heavily influenced by neurosis. neurosis is so fucking amazing

  • If Tool is an MTV pop band, then Lil Wayne is an infant falling onto a xylophone. Well, at least the second part is right.

  • I don't think they are overly politically aware at all.

  • see...

    i don't think it's really politics

it's all done and gone, ya know?, ancient china and shit

it's all really just psychology or like philosophy now

and i don't think it ever interferes with the music

  • great band!

  • this doesnt remind me of tool at all.

    its great though.

  • i love u guys! i ve seen u live in athens! !!

    u are awesome!

  • tool more like godflesh and neurosis and pink floyd

  • I can't see that much of Tool in it...More like Sigur Ros and what Isis and Cult of Luna are doing today...I love it.

  • Grrrreat...comparisons are a quick way to thinking, these sound like Tool?! Fuck that.

  • same :P

  • I love this bands albums great to relax to while drifting off to sleep.

  • yes i am also very glad that i happen to come across this band.

  • ya...these guys are legit!

  • sounds like it has some tool influence, and hey if that is the case, im down.

  • FLAWLESS VICTORY. I've been on a mission trying to get every record on every color. If you have the red sparowes/grails split on green vinyl limited to 100 then I'm looking for it. I got one mailed to me but it was bent nearly in 1/2 and I didn't buy insurance. So the record is now limited to 99!!! Hails to Red Sparowes some of the best live shows ever!!!

  • Amazing! Can't wait til the New album

  • one of the best bands going right now.

  • This is the future of psychadelic rock. Progressive and inspirational, and beautiful. Very much in the vein of the main Hydrahead family. You will hear much more of these guys either sooner or later. Nice post.
