  • i wrote this song ages ago, except the music and lyrics were different, and it was about london.........

  • This man has wrote the soundtrack to my soul, his words are brilliant but he could be singing about anything and still that voice hits you deep

  • This guy drops more panties than Victoria Secret.

  • I love Ray so much. He is by far my favorite artist of all time.

  • Obviously 17 people have their heads jammed up their ass. This guy is a great songwriter. Awesome performance!

  • GORGEOUS!

  • amazing!!!!!!! esse cara é muito bom.....super bandaa...

  • Hi!

Great song! I'm a huge Ray Lamontagne fan! I think you may also like my music?! Check out my new demo 'Yes I would' by my project 'Lets Make Movies Instead...' and let me know what you think, leave a comment etc...

    Peace,

    Gavin.

  • uh...b/c Gil Scott's song blows. thats why. i mean, you have to skip halfway to the middle of the song before he decides to only somewhat sing a song over that terrible clap track...

And agreed with mejico, there have been TONs of songs centered on this theme that came before both of those two...such as Jim Croce's "new york's not my home". ......Gil Scott......wow.

  • its a song!. people are taking it so personal jheeze

  • Love the way he shakes his head when he's not happy with his opening. Still sounded amazing, Ray!

  • ray lamontagne is a gift from heaven he and alison krauss would be a good duet they both sing like angels

  • the kind of song that saves lives.

  • Amazing <3

  • Wait wtf, why did he name the song 'New York CITY's Killing Me' less than a year after Gil Scott Heron came back to the forefront of the music scene with 'New York is Killing Me'?

I'm not saying he's doing it to ride any kind of wave, I just think it's a bit of disrespect to simply take the theme another man laid down and change just the perspective of the voice.

  • @majicodemejico Yeah, because Gil Scott Heron is the first person to ever write a song about how big cities suck the life out of people.

  • I would rather live in NY where people don't constantly stick their nose in your business than another "warmer" state where everyone has their nose in each other's business.

  • what on earth would make you dislike this?

  • bought the album about 4 months ago - not stopped listening to it yet. Chill time every time.

  • gotta get outta that place. NYC almost killed me too. no joke

  • Beautiful song.

  • Tosser, look at Warren Zevon for American heartfelt problems. "Just gotta get outa NYC" Brilliant lyrics, well done. Pathetic. .

  • Big cities are for visiting. Not living.

  • I hate all the damn ads on this channel.

  • This fella takes longer to heat up than a Christmas Goose.

  • feels great to know people are still making real music out there.

  • cry me a river

  • this is the same in every big city............ it drives u fkin insane... esp if ur an artist/musician.... ppl are so cold

  • @weezerfootie you couldnt be more right! hah

  • @weezerfootie thank you.

  • @etphonehomebitch ....for..? ...your welcome tho..

  • @weezerfootie cause what you said is true...

  • @weezerfootie That is why I live in Chicago, big city with a small town feel! and I'm a musician as well :P

  • @fattirevsbud yeah we musicians are super sensitive....and the world can be very cold and harsh....i live in jakarta man, its dog eat dog hehehe...

  • @fattirevsbud Wow, I guess I live way to far out to think that Chicago has a small town feel. A small town feel to me is being able to run down the back roads: the wind in your face, smell of fresh hay, and calling to your neighbors by name. A small town feel is being able to drive your tractor down the middle of main street without a single strange look. A small town feel is being able to go hunting and fishing in the back fields...for a country girl at least. :) I love where I live.

  • @2JesusIsurrender Thats what a small town is..its drinking beer with teh neighbors..and not getting one strange look

  • @joeu5431 True... but I'm not sure if that's necessarily a good thing haha

  • @weezerfootie yes they are i live in toronto and yes it can be very cold..to cold sometimes...selfish people sometimes..wish i could move to the country

  • @weezerfootie or if you're a redneck....hehe...j/j

  • @kunjidee i feel ur pain.. hahaha joking jokin

  • Underneath all that facial shrubbery lies the sexiest pair of vocal chords.

  • somehow I rmb LCD Soundsystem - New York, I Love You But You're Bringing Me Down... and this is making me more wanting to move to NYC

  • that drum kit is awesome!!!

  • Fuck you then, get out.

  • Cool ! very nice song, do you?

  • @dhe27 That shit doesn't work. Now just let this stupid repost/resend stuff die. It should be the stuff of internet history already...

  • How much to use this song in our indie film?

    Shannon

  • @VideoProducer Contact the artist through private mail... I highly doubt that they are actively reading Youtube comments on their songs...

  • so bad ass! this song is mad good!

  • dobry koleszka ;D
