As a former soldier, this makes me angry and would evoke the necessary desire to kill Nazis and stop unbridled murder. This is where Schindler understands what's really going on, and he feels sympathy and sorrow. Át the end of the movie he says that he could have saved so many more, thousands of persons, hundreds of persons, two persons and then he says one person and starts to crie. I believe that the one person he is referring to is the girl in red.

I remember watching this movie when they broadcast it as a television special. Steven Spielberg gave an introduction to the film warning us of it's graphic nature and that they would not be editing it whatsoever. From start to finish, I was enthralled and horrified at how real the violence was. It reached me at a very young age, and I'm so grateful that such a movie was made so that my generation knows that the Holocaust was a very real event, not just a history lesson.

@ElenaTheSinner Actually the girl represents a turning point in the movie. In war the colour red is a symbol for hate and sorrow. This is where Schindler understands what's really going on, and he feels sympathy and sorrow. Át the end of the movie he says that he could have saved so many more, thousands of persons, hundreds of persons, two persons and then he says one person and starts to crie. I believe that the one person he is referring to is the girl in red.

I remember watching this movie when they broadcast it as a television special. Steven Spielberg gave an introduction to the film warning us of it's graphic nature and that they would not be editing it whatsoever. From start to finish, I was enthralled and horrified at how real the violence was. It reached me at a very young age, and I'm so grateful that such a movie was made so that my generation knows that the Holocaust was a very real event, not just a history lesson.

Schindler's List is real masterpiece of cinematography. Master Steven Spielberg deserved that Oscar. Liam Neeson, Ben Kinhsley, Ralph Fiennes, Caroline Goodall, Embeth Davidtz and all others did a brilliant job. They didn't make decent War movies since 2000 (except for Enemy at the Gates (2001) and Black Book (2006)). There's no doubt about it, this film will be a classic in decades, even hundreds of years to come in cinema.
The 80's and the 90's were the Best eras in film

Schindler watches the ghetto from above and he watches her walk down a street and out of sight. Much later, when he witnesses Nazis digging up the bodies of Jews, a cart passes bearing the body of the same girl. In the midst of black and white her red coat the only way she can be identified. It has a huge impact.

I'm sure that if Roma Ligocka is indeed that little girl in the red coat and Oskar saw her on the streets of the ghetto, then her death in the movie was either fabricated by the directors/producers/screen writers for a dramatic impact or else Oskar saw another dead girl wearing a similar red coat
