They say the building has deteriorating maintenance, the infrastructure they say is functionally obsolete, and doesn't meet the computer/electrical technology needs of today. But this building is from the early 1960's, and to me it's still working well, plus I do like Innovation and CJ Anderson fixtures a lot.
Yes, this is a rather nice elevator, and it's interesting how the buttons are offset from each other. Sadly this building will be torn down next year which I find dumb, mainly because of the elevator that has been modernized.
Could you do a retake when you get a chance? Start at level 1. Go to LB then to PH, and finish it off by traveling back to level 1. Going from level 1 to level LB ya can show the fixtures. That's what I would do. Also please show the track on the bottem where the door slides. Thanks. You don't need to rush. As said, "When you get a chance". Thank you. I hate to sound so pushy!
The padding prevents the walls from being scratched, bumped, or damage if there are large loads being carried on there, and the hall station serves the passenger elevator as well.
Well, they're the same floor, but have a set of stairs that lead to the research rooms in the upper basement, while the lower basement has utility rooms.
WHY Does The Building Have to Be Torn Down? I Love The Innovation Brusior.

It sure is a neat elevator, in that I rarely see a high rise elevator with rear doors.

Is There A Different Button For The Passenger Elevator?
Elevator5519 3 years ago
Why Do They Put Padding On Some Elevators?
Elevator5519 3 years ago
No. The passenger elevator only has a front door, and opens only on levels 1-PH, along with the lower basement.
CaptainElevator42189 3 years ago
Does the Passenger Elevator Have a Rear Door?
Elevator5519 3 years ago
Yes, they could have gone a little faster, like 300-400 FPM.
CaptainElevator42189 3 years ago
Elevator is a little slow.
Baytrail 3 years ago
Yes, that's the front door.
CaptainElevator42189 3 years ago
is the door that opens on level 1 the front door?
Elevator5519 3 years ago
All the floors except UB open on the front door, and UB opens on the rear door for the loading dock.
CaptainElevator42189 3 years ago
What Opens on the front and what opens on the rear?
Elevator5519 3 years ago
LB is the Lower Basement, UB is the Upper Basement, and PH is the PentHouse.
CaptainElevator42189 3 years ago
What Does LB and UB mean?
Elevator5519 3 years ago
Yes, along with research equipment.
CaptainElevator42189 3 years ago
Yes, and there's a Schindler elevator video that features broken signal bells on its HT fixtures.

Why is there a penthouse in a ron-residence building?
Baytrail 4 years ago
That's because one elevator is passenger, and the freight elevator is next to passenger. Next time, I'll record the passenger elevator.
CaptainElevator42189 4 years ago
Why did you put two different horsepowers if it's the same elevator?
Ih8escalators 4 years ago
Since it's the freight elevator, it needs to be "rehabbed" since heavy equipment goes up and down on there, every day.
CaptainElevator42189 4 years ago
Looks rehabbed
6Q73RA 4 years ago
Well, this is the freight elevator, and also serves as a high capacity passenger elevator.
CaptainElevator42189 4 years ago
By any chance can you video the frieght elevator?
