@manostihl But I load 223, maybe when the necks are wore too much or messed up I will look into cutting them down, good to know though. Thanks for the info.
i always get a chuckle when class three weapons come up. i do not have any special licenses, and i live in kentucky, and everybody's got full auto's, and shotguns that have barrels that are as short as 12 inches, we got explosives, because around here, we all just kind of make up the rules as we go, even with drugs, antbody can go downtown, and buy pot, or even crank from the sherrif. antways, just kinda makes me warm and fuzzie knowin that i can have and shoot, what i want, nice gun btw.
@gunman848 Not sure I would have put that on YouTube... but so be it. Sounds like a good time. I take this firearm to public displays with military and other government officials so having it be legal and paperwork with it is a very good idea. I have seen reenactors get asked to see the class 3 paperwork before. I am not going to jail over a stock being folded out. Thanks, I love this firearm. it is sweet!! Be safe my friend.
@TheMcbigmac No, but you would need to put in a spring loaded or bolted release. The welds are where I show the "button" that holds a bar in place with the stock. If I get the tax stamp what I was planning to do is cut the bolt that is where the "button" is and then thread the bar that holds it in place. I would then put a spring to keep tension on it. and put a hex bolt in it to hold it. But I have found places that sell the whole stock piece, but then you need to take out rivets, thats a pain.
@CedricAirbornePrice I would not want to ruin a Helmet to find out.. The round is low in weight and has a lot of powder behind it.. It could happen. But I am not exactly an expert on that. I think this round is a little hotter load than a 9mm with a smaller bullet, so that should mean more foot pounds.
thats a muzzle brake compensator. not a flash hider.

@goyim1999 Ok... I bet in 1942/3 when it was designed I bet the Russians did not know the difference.

@dannywh1972 They are pretty cool!!! The rifle version looks a little odd if you want it to look like the original. But nun the less a sweet firearm.

how heavily is the stock welded down? would it hurt the gun to remove the weld?

the 7.62x25mm will pierce Kevlar helmets.....
gunfuego 6 months ago
@gunfuego Really? wow. Thats handy to know. Bet it kills Zombies then.

@gunfuego this sounds like speculation. I don't even think higher velocity rounds like 7.62x39 do this. Any comments emt?
