you know, its not rock shox problem, the problem is in your head, dart 3 can stand max 160mm disc, buy a new fork and there will be no problems at all..and even so, where are you driving that XC bike that you need a 180mm or bigger, dude, it's not a downhill bike, you dont need bigger disc than 160mm, i know, i got Acid and Hayes stroker brakes 160mm and it works enough good for XC
ALSO die bremsscheibe ist zu groß das mal klar und wen du kurven fährst ist das ganz normal weil die gabel auch einwenig spiel hat naja viel spaß noch und ich geh dan mal driften im schnee :P
I can tell you that it was a 203mm Shimano Rotor which was relatively thin and I had an adapter to allow the post mount calliper to be fitted, and there was a nice bit of clearance.
Hope this helps, sorry I could not be of more help.
My apologies but I do not have the rotor fitted anymore, there was a problem with it after a month, the rotor went untrue and was catching against the calliper quite fiercely, although had no trouble with the rear rotor which was the same but a 160mm version, and now have the same 160mm rotor on the front, luckily I got a refund of the adapter and rotor so it went better than I expected.
I have the RockShox Dart 3 and the manual does indeed say 160mm is maximum size rotor.
However, my local mechanic fitted a 203mm Disc on the front of my bike, had no problems at all, my disc is almost 1 full cm away from the forks and never touches at all.
@Sligsaw Could you show a picture of your bike front fork showing how the rotor was fitted? I have the same fork and looking for a way to fit a 180 mm rotor. Many thanks in advance.

rotor is too big for fork, try one size lower, or get a different fork that can take larger rotors
