It's not spelled wrong. You people are thinking in terms of your English pronounciation. "tsu" in Japanese is actually pronounced as somewhat of a cross between "tu" and "tsu". Some romanizations use "tsu" and some use "tu". Both are correct, although "tsu is more common nowadays.

Engrish is when you make a spelling or grammatical error in English. Hatune is the same as Hatsune to a Japanese person.

The kanji reads "hatsu" SO... it IS NOT hatu (as hatu doesn't exist in hiragana or katakana) so the mistake IS engrish (I have read CONGRATURATIONS in some game before, it's even on some engrish web-site).

As I said, engrish is a common thing even in important releases as this.

All this name confusion amuses me, but it's quite simple: when typing in Japanese "tu" will produce the character つ, which is pronounced "tsu." Incidentally, typing "tsu" will also make that, but since it's easier to type two letters, that's what people do.
