  • The Canary islands are the larger group of islands closer to Africa at minute 0:21. The one you show at minute 1:00 is the Madeira and Porto Santo islands (another different archipelago) which are a few miles north of the Canary Islands. And at a few miles north of the Atlantis area, are the Azores islands, another portuguese archipelago.

  • DEAD WRONG At minute 1:00... That's Madeira island, NOT one of the Canary islands. It belongs to Portugal, and it is the Madeira archipelago (along with Porto Santo island and Desertas islands).

The Canary islands are another archipelago in the south region, closer to Africa, and they belong to Spain.

  • im not buyin it dude

  • Whatever it is, it looks interesting.

  • This area is the size of a country, therefore it is impossible to be a city. comparing this area with new york city and you will see that New York is infinitely smaller

  • so beast

  • Isnt Atlantis supposed to be a circle?

  • Omg !!! That might be Atlantis !!! Or something underwater....i wish i was a mermaid and could discover this !

  • (Plato talks about a CONTINENT not far from Africa and South America )

  • There are many ancient sites underneath the sea level, all over the world (older than 12000 years ago). But, to me, Atlantis is Antartica, definately.

  • r u gay? madeira is a portuguese island u asshole -_-

  • simply a nuclear waste dumping ground. CURS YOU NUCLEAR PEEPS WITH UR RADIATION LINES KEEPING US FROM ATLANTIS!

  • the dumb ass scienists say its boat mapping sonar! WELL how in the world is a satelite gonna pick up and show sonar Mr. dumbass scientissts... the lines may not be roads, but it definatly aint boat maping sonar.. its old and dilapidated so who knows what we will find down there! i say we get those scientists that say its boat mappin sonar and beat the crap outa them

  • large objects underwater make the area darker from above the higher it is so its definatly somethin underwater

  • Apparently, the ocean data used on Google Earth is a combination of satellite and sonar data. That's what I read somewhere. So it could be data artefacts. But it does look strange. The immediate question though is what were boats looking for to warrant a large area sonar scan?

  • i say we chuck the dumbass scientists in the water 2 find out what it really is

  • thanks a lot dude , this really helped me finding it
