Easy way and works for others...

First remove the memory cards on your xbox 360 even the one on top of your xbox 360. Then blow into it or clean it...Once you do..BOOM...it works...its just it cant read the memory...if it cant read the memory then it could not work since you have stuff in it...also it only works for E 68 users...the E 74 could do the same method as i told you...Be advised of the rings and try to disconnect and crap...NOT OPEN IT!! it will screw it up even more!

I thought the one red light was a General Hardware Failure, and the four lights was the AV Cable...

Though mine is doing what you just now described, and the video has been acting buggy and glitchy lately.

Trust me it works, I have done this many times, Basically The overwhelming Heat melts The solder on the Heat sync Chip, It re-sets your Xbox to a previous time kind of way, But you have to remember it only is a TEMPORARY fix, it will Ruin your xbox with prolonged use.

DONT DO THIS this only works for a fraction of the xboxs out there ,only use this as a last resort it can also fuck your xbox up even more. the best way is to send it to microsoft repair it may take a while but it definately gets fixed properly.

actually this dosent work at all, what it does is when u wrap your xbox with the towels while having it on it will melt the heat sink causing u to get the 3 red rings.

im not tryin to be a smart ass but i work at microsoft and i specialize in the electronics department wich includes xbox, by using the towel method you are slowly burning your motherboard so dont do it because it could void your warranty wich really sucks

Okay i have tried all these methods, (including letting it stand upright on a hardwood surface for 24 hours)

Yesterday after 2 years of use, my xbox showed the 1 red light E74 error. I did a couple of tricks but none worked so i decided to try the towel trick. Put a towel arround the xbox and turned it on for 15 minutes until the 1 red light changed to 2 red lights. Then turned it off for 30 minutes and now its working fine. Now i just need to buy an extra cooler for my xbox and things will be fine. =) The towel trick actually works for the 1 red light error.

YES, the towel trick might work but if you still have your warrenty left take it to your gameshop for repairs because if you put the towel over it will eventually just break forever andyou may lose your warrenty

I tryed this and it worked, I started up my xbox and it seemed to work fine. I updated the dashboard and had a play about on that but as soon as I tryed to play a game the screen went messed up and the error was back.

Definitely works but i dont know if i'd do it if you have the warranty still. If you can get it fixed for free because its a definite pain in the ass. And it can permanently mess you xbox up. And by permanently i mean you'll get all red rings and have to get it shipped in and fixed.
