  • um its already 2011 and 2012 nearly here. Where are they?

  • wall e

  • Isn't this just a Rascal?

  • all it needs is some glass to protect the user from the elements and then it would be the perfect car for individuals and disabled ppl

  • Three things.

    1. Has it been released?

    2. Does it need a driving license?

    3. I want one NOW.

  • @OlirockCP

    1. Not yet

    2. It shoudn't but knowing the government they will probably class it as a motorbike or car so would require a driving license

    3. Me too

  • Prof Xavier!

  • it's impossible not to think of Wall-E

  • @xeoncat202 More like EVE I'd say.

  • Ehhhhh, you a bicycle?

Fair enough, if you are in a wheelchair, its pretty cool. But I would rather use a bike.

  • it is 2011 and i have never seen one

  • @liamsbeterthancharli a lot of them kept falling over in the corners so it was take ou

    t of production

  • @dragonicstrider noooo lol

  • que viva Wall-E :D

  • Cracked!

  • "Will You make a big one for fat people"- Best question ever! ^^

  • va eccala cugghiuni

  • i love it how hammed says "a Chair.."

  • This is good for those who are disabled, it will really help out.

  • THIS IS THE DUMBEST MOST MORONIC MISUSE OF TIME I HAVE EVER SEEN. THIS WILL JUST CONTRIBUTE TO THE GROWING OBESITY PROBLEM! ALSO!!!

I want one in green. :)

  • Flies in your mouth, there will be many.

  • this just another way for lazy amerikans to become..... more lazy....

  • It's like a throne on wheels...

  • we have similar things in the UK for some time called "wheel chair' quite funny .........

  • Well it's the end of 2010 now, and i haven't seen a single one. Guess we'll be waiting a bit longer D:

  • Security Guards all over Japan use this.

  • Way cool. For those of us experienced with Power Mobility we would find having this technology available would be very good; having it available for everyone would be better . If it had a cargo area to transport groceries and other local items ( briefcases etc) it would be perfect

  • i cant tell if its awesome or retarded

  • that music is from tron

  • CRACKED!

  • It's not here yet!

  • has anyone seen the movie WALL-E?

  • damn so cool ,,..

watch the fuckin badhead Americans made things like this

  • A city full of Toyotas? AAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!! RUNAWAY! BAD DRIVERS EVERYWHERE!!

  • @soccermomd00d thats just sad. you're thinking of Nissan drivers

  • @toyotaprius79 'Fraid I'm not. The beige 1996 to 2001 Camry is the worst car in the world for that very reason. Other models aren't much better. I barely notice Nissans.

  • @soccermomd00d i remember reading somewhere that BMW drivers are the worst, all arrogant and such...

  • @WizBeef That could hold truth. I'd pick Mercedes for that title and reasoning though. Anyone wonder with the three point star is always HUGE on all their vehicles?

  • @soccermomd00d In Japanese, 'Mercedes' means 'three diamonds'. So its not actually a 3 point star, its 3 diamonds pointed outwards. Neat, eh?

  • y couldnt they translate the inventor to english

  • Professor X eat your heart out

  • It shouldn't be hard to re-design and put a shield on top and front to make this "rain proof".

but I'm sure your next question is "Is there an air con in this chair?"

  • What happens when it rains?

Does it have lights to drive in the dark?

Simple things which were TOO COMPLEX when inventors invents inventions...=="

  • @Str4t0sPh3rE the whole thing is waterproof and yes it has lights

  • @barricadefan I ain't question if the 'vehicle' is waterproof. How does one travel in the rain without getting soaked? Surely they do not expect us to hold an umbrella and wear a raincoat.

Nice concept, but just not practical. Even a bike is a lot better....

  • now the question is... wheres the cup holder?

  • wat happens if u turn left and the left wheel accidentally went up?

  • Is this contraption really supposed to be safer or more economical than a bicycle? It doesn't appear to have any kind of a storage compartment and it can only carry one person. I suppose it's for office workers who don't want to get sweaty when riding a bike, and who on the other hand cannot wake up in time or be otherwise organized.

  • I want one of those! You don't need to learn how to drive. And you don't need to get involved in an accident.

  • im geting 1 boi

  • Lmao can't wait to see the news wen these malfuntion

  • what about stairs?

  • wait what?!?! only 2000 pounds!! for an awesome machinery?... heck if this is the future i cant wait to get old...

  • does the throttle stick?

  • @NIGBEATS pethatic

  • eventually we'll all be bald soft, pink, fat masses that have computers to do literally everything for us

  • This sort of stuff scares the crap out of me. I see massive traffic jams of fat people stuffed into these things 18 hours a day. If you need a wheel chair these are amazing, but the rest of us could probibly use the walk.

  • Only 2k GBP? Thats very cheap o_o!

  • * don't do stairs.

  • What is everyone complaining for. We are

Going to get fat. 1st we are allready the most over weight country, so shut up you lose. Everyone is freaking out like driving this thing will be a law or something. Also It do stairs so you are going to have to get off of it. People should celebrate the advancment made through thech.

  • @4our1ne0h the u.s is not even in the top ten most obese countries, nauru is the most obese country it has 79% obesity rate among its population

  • 3 words: I WANT ONE

  • well even if they don't bring it out maybe clarkson will do a V8 version :D haha

  • im so gona get one of these this year

  • I remembers me to Wall-e. All the lame people incapable of walking sitting their chairs and going everywhere.

Certainly for those who are not able to walk (a good friend of mine has such an illness) it would be great.

  • evryone says this will make america lazy....i dont know about you, but starbucks is 2.5 miles away.....sometimes i walk...but i know, no matter how much coke or crack one ingests, they arent running 20mph.....just sayin

  • as cool as this seems, i dont like it. people are already too lazy as it is. we've all seen walle where they are all fat and dont know how to walk due to being stuck in a chair their whole life. it seems that being lazy is the future. its about time more people stopped being so lazy using the car and did some walking..........this is more ideal for oap's and the disabled

  • i love it, its so kool!!!!! :D

  • so there saying there wanting everyone to go around and being more helpless then we already are??? i sware everone is going to evolve to have to use this crap just to live.. people..are going to end up so weak without technology i can see it now..

  • Did he say a Stephen Hawking FaceBook? It's more like a George Orwell FaceBook. That's like super putting yourself on the grid.

  • Unless you're fat... Lol

  • @laurens557 lol :P

  • LOL I WANT ONE NOW

  • lol the japanese designer's eyebrow twitched when interviewed by Richard

  • I'm paralised from the breast down. This chair would be a great 'babe magnet' at the Malls.

I want one and I need cards printed up & deli-numbers to prevent line-jumping.

  • you dont have a wheel chair?

  • Hi, yes I have a wheel chair, but not like this one. I have a manual that I use, because I can move both arms. even though I'm paralised from the breast down. I have no handgrips to speak of & I'm on a fixed income. Thanks for inquiring. Namaste', Greg

  • having read some of the comments below: 1. this is a solution that is environmentally and personally a much healthier choice than a car, cars have already made people fat, so lay off this way cool idea, 2. people will use this like a car is already used for short trips 3. at under 3000 us $, juiced up at 50 kmh, this is a civilised, healthy solution for urban transport - i want one

  • I can see obese people living in these.

  • Two Words: Want One

  • That's like those personal chairs from Wall-E. Once everyone uses them, we're all going to be really fat...

  • will u make a big one for fat people?

  • It's so cool to drive around once a while, but really bike is more fun!

  • I can ride my bicycle faster than 20mph and walk when I need to walk. I am an American. Im not fat or lazy.

  • i can see this selling pretty well in america

  • I'll stick to me bicycle, thank you

  • Who is going to buy this? I mean seriously walk people. Wheelchair users go for it! That would be awsome just to muck around with but using it as an actual mode of transport? No chance. Everyone needs to walk for the excersise. Probably stating the obvious here... Just realised that haha

  • If cops asks you license when you drive it, just say that it's a wheelchair from the future I don't need a license XD and then go away with 35km/h and their like ..wheelchair wtf?

  • unless you're fat lol

  • reminds me of the thing on wall-e

  • Memo Toyota:

Something like this was tried in the not-too-distant past, and it failed miserably. It was called the Segway.

  • memo You:

    Segway=american

  • Yeah. americans don't usually make any small things so well :D and they are too fat for that one anyway XD

  • we can make a big one thatll fit just fine on the right side of the street

  • you still had to stand on a Segway.. this is the epitome of a lazy man's mode of transportation..

  • i want one!!!!!!!!!!!!

how long does it go on a charge

i could use it to school and sit iin it all day!!!!!!

  • that is really cool. Top speed of 20 in a chair is rather terrifying haha.

  • the i real rules its the best car in the world my only worry is if you park on the street and go somewhere then it will be fairly easy to steal.

  • Well don't park it then :D:D just go everywhere with it and don't go to medieval places where that can't get :D Well then you come too fat to fit in if you don't ever get up :l that's a problem

  • Will you make a big one for fat people? LOL

  • How do we to pick up women in these??? LMAO

would u like a ride home in my I-Real? Oh, im sorry it only seats one, but u can seat on my lap =)

I guess there is no "click it or ticket" like in TX...no seat belt on these I presume!!!

  • texas is gay and stupid and worthless

  • ohhh :O

  • The iPod of wheelcharis - except that hopefully this will last longer than 18 months and not cost a fortune to replace...

  • Hmm it's going in production in 2010 and going to be sold for 2000 pounds... not that bad actually, since a lot of electric wheelchairs cost that much.

  • this makes me thing that world war 3 is going to happen.

  • haha. i want one! what if everyonbe had THESE instead of cars, it would be sooo weird but cooooooool

  • having one would be cool but 2,000 is way too much

  • what would you prefer.. the iwheel or the nano which also costs 2000 pounds.

That is a tuffy the cheapest car vs the cheapest chair??

    lol

    cheers

  • But then you need to get someone to open the door for you when you reach the cafe to get in there and if you drive this to somewhere say McD or KFC... you will look so cool when you are in a queue queing for food and also pissing all other ppl off for standing in the queue while you are sitting comfortability in the queue... kakkakakakakaka...

  • OMG IM GETTING THE Ireal!

  • Eurosport is proud to present Round 1 of the 2011 iReal World Championship

  • dude...2010 and only around 5 grand US, dude! i'm so buying one for the heck of it, so much fun!

  • isnt that music from tron

  • "And that kids, was the beginning of our subservient slavery to the mighty I-Real. Who wants Ice Cream?"

  • This will never catch on, nobody would buy this.

  • Many people said the same when some crazy old man invented the automobile. "An autmobile? nobody would buy that"

  • Toyota watch too much WALL-E :p

  • I already have one of these cause my uncle is an employee there and these things actually go up to 30 mph not 20. You can also hook your laptop up to them and get internet from it. It is so sweet. My dad paid my uncle $4,000 for it. That's just a little more than it will cost when it premieres in the US next year.

  • Not to belittle the awesome technology involved with this iWheel, I *just* can't get the image of the Daleks out of my head!!

  • Yes, the British have had something very similar to this a while ago, but it wasn't a wheelchair.

It was called the Sinclair C5. A vehicle way, way ahead of its time.

  • Yea so far ahead of it's time it was crap and a massive failure.

  • 2:30 - It figures it transforms

  • Holy crap.

I don't wanna end up like the humans in Wall-E.

HEEEEEEEEELP GET IT OUT, BAN IT, DO SOMETHING

  • toyota made 5,6 concepts like this

  • we have had something similar in the UK for some time, it's called a wheelchair!

  • Ever watched Wall-E?

Yup, thats what's gonna happen if these become popular!

  • for that price i could buy a used motorcycle

  • if it rains, you get wet.

  • do they make one for fat people? that's a great question because this invetion will make everyone fat like how everyone in that movie walle turned out fat...

i would never want to have one...

  • want one! :)

  • Hahaha that is not a future I want to live in
