rtfisher I like to buy a new Scrumbler with TOR exhaust pipes installed, but I'm afraid that my ( & the person's on the back ) right foot is gonna burn everytime I ride, from the heat of the exhaust pipes. Am I right? Thanks.
i know nothing about bikes and hope i dont come off sounding like some idiot youtube kid but... does the seat on a scrambler fit two or is that something you have to add on?
It does seat two mate. You can buy a solo seat for it but it comes with the big plank as standard. My wife rides pillion on it with me and we both have plenty of room.
I looked at both, however for me I wanted the twin pipe look, but was horribly let down by the sound of the standard pipes! I would recommend TORs to anyone, it will transform your sanitised sounding bike into something that the look should be like. If you do what I did by riding it alot beforehand, then the change in sound and throttle response is lovely and you'll fall more in love with your bike than ever before. Don't forget if you don't like the sound the resale value is very high!
Yeah if you like the look of the dual pipe then TORS is definitely the way to go. I'm with you on wanting the standard look but a better sound. I had a Bonnie SE as a loaner from a dealer yesterday whilst mine was in for a service and it had the standard pipes on and you couldn't tell if it was running or not. Dreadful!
The video doesn't really do them justice. They are obscenely loud. Apparently they give you about 5-6 bhp extra so the throttle response is a bit better. I haven't ridden one without the TORS though so I can't compare.
The 2 into 1 jobbie doesn't sound as raucous as the TORS I reckon. You get popping and banging on the overrun on the TORS which sounds fantastic. They make children cry and animals flee :) I rode past some workmen the other day and one of them was looking up in the air to see where the noise was coming from - made my day.

Cool. I think mine is a left over 06 as it doesn't have the black engine of the 07

Nah they don't get really hot at all. The heat sheilds work very well, even in traffic in hot weather.

aweeeeeeesomeee sound! don;t those pipes get hot? even if they dont burn ur legs... in traffic could be uncomfy

The exhaust looks standard, it sounds fucking awesome.

That's the beauty of it :) I love the way the standard pipes look but they sound rubbish.
rtfisher 2 years ago
I thought it sounded lovely actually.

Mine sounds lovely but then they're not the standard pipes. The standard ones sound like a sewing machine.

Any Triumph delaership should sell them mate. TORS stand for Triumph Off Road pipes in case you didn't know.

Still tossing up whether to go with them or the Arrow 2 into 1a....
