What does cost a lot, but contrary to popular rumor not more than a life sentence, is the extensive legal procedure that is required for the appeals that the accused files leading up to the sentence. That is why we need to put in an "emergency lane" for death row inmates that are 100% sure-as-hell guilty.

What does cost a lot, but contrary to popular rumor not more than a life sentence, is the extensive legal procedure that is required for the appeals that the accused files leading up to the sentence. That is why we need to put in an "emergency lane" for death row inmates that are 100% sure-as-hell guilty.

& to conclude,.. I have a heavy foot & I get caught for speeding ..never once does it occur to me to pull out a gun & shoot a police officer!... how many of you see or pass police on the street every day? your not exactly getting shot are you? nor am I, or is it ever a question that if I get pulled over I might get shot by a police officer..EXCUSES...you "THUGSTERS" just want to have every excuse to get away with all the criminal shit you do on a daily basis then yell RACIST!!

Boy although I know this is a tough one & God forbid I ever have to be put to this test.... Ashford has the right to forgiveness even though the crime was so horrendous & inhuman...God knows his heart & if he was truly remorseful he has that forgiveness but if he is a heartless lying monster then God know this too.
I guess in the end it all boils down to God & Ashford. Does forgiveness mean you except the crime? absolutely not, but sin is sin and we all sin. God judges accordingly!

Im black but i'm NOT a nigger. I wish white folk would realise the difference between the two. What is a nigger? A nigger is a black who likes to talk BAD, likes to do BAD things. Niggers also decimate black neighborhoods with their drug-dealing,murders,violence and crime. They also think "no school is cool" commit robberies, (again mainly in the black areas of a city,) and think it cool to be a gang banger and hang out with other niggers. Solution? Outlaw the gangs, anti drug programs and jobs!

@123412 Yeah, and with America's arrogance for their own country, I'm not surprised they take a crime against the state (IE, the government) so badly. Morally, though, killing is killing. You should be punished the same way for every person you kill.

@nicolebmoviesFTW2 No, that's the thing. A cop killer kills not only the person but also the uniform, it's an attack against the state so to speak. The cop in uniform is not a civilian, he impersonates law inforcement.

It's called brainwashing. Part of the brainwashing, is allowing police to come in to 'kids' (typically preteens) classrooms and talking about how much they protect those kids. When those same kids grow up, different story. Titles such as 'cop-killer' don't help. I love how law-enforcement tries to get people to believe, killing a cop is is one of the worst crimes imaginable, Of course if they kill a citizen, it's a 6 month paid vacation/investigation.
