  • Classic!

  • Them 80's , 90's flat tops

  • I sure wish choirs were the same as they were back in the day. It has changed tremondously!

  • Bless the Lord Munchkinn! I agree strongly with you; I prefer traditional anyday as well. That is what I grew up on and we used to have a great time listening and singing these songs at church. God has blessed JPK and New Life with a great spiritual attitude.

  • Love the Prince interlude.

  • I have this on whole concert on VHS at home. I watched it like about 1 or 2 million times. thats all. not that much. Right?

  • yeah I agree he is overlooked his music I can still jam jesus is real and standing in the need anyday also throwback hezekiah is the best

  • how come kpk doesnt get that much recongnition in the gospel areana ? is it because of his striaght forward message because if you ask me his musicians compared to kirk is a striaght blow out ya dig. i would love to have there concept when it came to music

  • I totally agree. I'm I studied their style to the T.

  • I was at that concert at New Salem Bapist church on Cleveland Ave., and a lady by the name of Denise Tenicker (I think I spelled it wrong) opened for John and New Life. The PA system went out in the middle of the recording, but they finally got it fixed. Miche was gettin' STRAIGHT-CRUNK on the keys ALL that night; especially when he added that "1999" from Prince (lol)!

  • a little late but PA was fine, Keyboards submix mixer went out and fortunately there was a spare mixer, challenges of live recordings

  • Yeah, tell me about it. I take it that you were there also? Pastor Kee probably should've brought his own recording gere!

  • actually that was the problem, the little mixer was theirs, fix was an in house mixer, yes I was there quite an experience

  • Those high notes are always on point

  • look at Isaac back there in the back..

  • we used to have this on VHS... John P. Kee is a legend. i think he's overlooked...

  • I got the cd. Does anyone know where I can find The Wash Me, We Walk By Faith, and It Will Be Alright videos.

  • this brings memories i used to watch this one bobby jones gospel

  • yes, indeed. we used to sing this in the youth choir. thanks for the post.

  • I did not know that was him hitting that note... go on then john

  • wow...I was at the video, Columbus, OH, our college choir opened up for this concert!

  • Yo! 6:15- 6:46 sounded like Prince. I forget what the song was.

  • i asked the same question awhile ago, the song name is 1999

  • Oh yeah. thanx!

  • Thats John P Kee's son...and her daughter next to him i think...
