When the CD was invented the benefit to the consumer was that albums would be cheaper as CD's are far cheaper to manufacture than Cassettes however the price remained the same and infact the studio conglomerates were now able to make more margin on the product. The government should focus more on how to stop the rort that has been inplace for the last 20years rather than attacking hungry people stealing a loaf of bread!

We have a video store here that rents out DVDs for a dollar per week, which makes it cheaper/easier than downloading it, because data caps are so expensive.They should think about how they can profit from the given technology, rather than making it illegal.DRM's only cause trouble.I bought a $50 BluRay & couldn't watch it because of stupid zoning.It's much easier to download...
