@gkzsunsetsah Thanks for checking out the video. As a kid, I thought Paul Revered and the Raiders were really cool. I still like their music. I also really liked The Monkees.
I miss all those great music shows from the sixties...Hullabaloo, Shindig, where the action is, Hootennany!...and the beatles cartoon on every saturday morning
@mark54ization I've gotta be honest with you... I don't really remember them. I was a really little kid when they were on, and like most families back then, we had one TV, and my parents ruled that TV set. I was probably 6 or 7 when those shows were on, and my parents thought they were a bit risque for small children. (Go figure). I remember liking the theme song for ACTION. My grandmother did let us watch the Beatles cartoon though. She was WAY COOLER than my parents. LOL
I've said it before... The Raiders were so under-rated. Not only were they talented, but also liked to have fun in their performances. Thanks for the input.
I dig the part at 1:36 where Fang is using Paul's comb and combing his hair, and Paul has the expression of "What the hell are you doing?" Then Fang has that "Uh, oh" expression and gives the comb back to Paul. They were very funny in those days. LOL!!!!!
Yeah, they were a great group. Lots of crazy antics and could actually sing too. I've always felt they were way under-rated. Glad you enjoyed the video. I found this on an old VHS tape completely by accident, and just had to share this with everybody.
This is how I remember Paul Revere and the Raiders as a 10 y/o boy watching them on "Where The Action Is" I use to envy the people on the show since I was too young to go on.
Thanks for sharing this rarity. It's a very cute performance of a great cover tune. Good insight into how wacky Raider performances were like. No Drake :-( Drafted already?
Mark Lindsay, handsome, awesome voice and glorious smile. i do recall watching this performance. amazing

I have to think this was before 1967....maybe 65 or 66 because of
the song and their dress. hahaha, by '67, this look was very dated.

@canebluff I figured it was probably out at the same time as the Stevie Wonder version... and I think that was 1966?
