If your doing everything right, like washing your hair twice a week , moisturizing it and sleeping with a satin scarf and all of that but you still use gel in your hair for the edges then will that necessarily stop your hair growth or slow down the process ? like even if you use a little bit around the edges ? thats my question b/c i use gel alot and me and my mom are about to start going by your hair care regimen & i wanna make sure that im not messing it up or anything . thnxxx :)

Hi,,my stylist refuses to let me use relaxer and braids...{including sew-ins},,but i saw your video and i began to use the products you use. do you think it would be okay for me to get braids or relax every once in a while?

I can't tell you whether or not to relax but relaxed her definately takes more effort to care for.

what about sew-ins,,because she suggested that i get glue...but i hate the glue. its seems to do more damage than braids.

never use glue in your hair. every! Braids are fine as long as you give your hair a rest afterward.

I experience a lot of breakage too when I over stretch my relaxers. Waiting can be good, but waiting too long usually results in breakage.

I can really relate to your regimen. I too use CON (thats all my mom used on my hair as a child) I also grew up on kemi oyl!!! I saw your fotki acoount, even requested you as a friend. You didnt mention how often you clip/trim your ends. If so, I missed it. Do you trim every relaxer?
