@RosdelProductions I've never actually heard the differences myself. Both cars I've had have only had one HU. Never switched 'em out before, so I haven't been able to hear a difference. Go with aftermarket though. Aftermarket will almost always be better than stock.

If I were to re-invert the sub in the box I have, the inner volume of the enclosure would be less since the motor, basket, and magnet are taking up space in the box, therefore messing with the original desired tuning of the box. And like I said, my trunk's too small for a box any bigger than this. And if you claim polarity has nothing do do with sound, clearly you haven't heard enough systems to tell the difference between inverted and normal mounted subs.

@76dced my evidence comes from personal experience. I've heard this sub in my car both inverted and normally mounted, on the same amount of power. It sounded way different. Normally mounted it was a bit louder, but inverted it was cleaner and deeper. You could argue that it was how the box was made, but I've heard a large enough variety of sound systems to know that there is, in fact, a difference in sound between normally mounted and inverted, even if it is very subtle.

Listen to some Sunn O))) if you want some sub bass metal. I can't stand these newer Deathcore bands that mix screamo with electronica and blend that with some mediocre riffs, and add a breakdown or two. Along with sans technical blasting on the drums. Frankly, I prefer Limp Bizkit's ne,w album to this. And metal shouldn't be listened to with overpowering subs, you need to hear the guitar with the bass guitar and drums, not just boooooom booom boooom or whatever. Nice system and car though.

@twest903 yes I was high lol. And it's inverted because my trunk is tiny so I needed a much smaller box, and inverting the sub allows you to make a smaller box but still get relatively the same sound out of it since the basket, motor, etc. aren't taking up air space in the box.
