  • BTW 9800 was an NEC PC.

  • Is that a Pony in the background? Nice vid, subscribing.

  • Great video mate. Never heard of that console. Can't believe they had that kind of tech in their cars back then!! Awesome.

  • man those console are very rare next to nec's pc-88 and the original fm towns ...cool looking forward to game reviews with this beast XD

  • I've heard of the regular FM Towns Marty. I think I first learned what it was from Gamester81's channel, but I've never heard of the FM Towns Car Marty. Very cool stuff! At first, I thought the handle was part of a cassette deck or something LOL.

  • These went for 80-135$ on Ebay about 1 week ago. Complete in box + controller.

  • @Powerplayerak

yea thats kinda unheard of...... lucky

  • Nice! I got myself a CIB Marty recently as well!

    Happy holidays to you, dude!

  • Happy Holidays!

  • I never knew about this console... I found this video very interesting...... thanks dude!

  • @jurassicjunkie

im glad i got to spread some knowledge for ya bro.... thanks for watching.

  • Holy shit you have lost your mind @.@

I wouldnt like to think how much that bad boy set you back, crazy pick up.

  • @amurphy245

cmon man.... its christmas time.... santa delivered it to me early lol.... i hook him up with those expensive cookies every year... not those chea nabisco that everyone else leaves...

  • That is hardcore man , awesome ...!! Can't wait to see it work. I really like Fujitsu computers/electronics .

  • @thetylife

    do u have one?

  • @dankss a marty? no...I've owned a couple Fujitsu computers

  • LOL, great finger man,

I didn't know you had a Towns Marty.

I totally have been wanting one for a while now.

was the Splatter House modeled after the arcade port, or is it different?

wtf.. never even heard of the Car Marty. The GPS looks brand new.

    Very Cool Find.

  • @16bitghost

thanks man... yea i had the marty for a while now. been lookin for the car marty forever. the splatterhouse port is an exact replica of the arcade version in every way. its said to be the most accurate and enjoyable of any release.. thats why its so expensive.

  • @dankss thanks man don't worry about it I got my eye on a JVC Xeye I'm thinking bout snagging it I'm just a cheap ass sometimes lol

  • Damn dude, a Car Marty? Sheesh, someone obviously makes good money! ;) :D

  • @austinmackert

nah man i dont really... i work hard though thats for sure. my job is composed of sitting at a desk and doing computer programming / graphic design... thanks mom for the college education lol

  • While there isn't a picture of the LCD for this, there is a video of it on spectreair 's Youtube channel (he has the car mount too, in addition to the unit, and GPS, of course).

As for the power, if the unit you have coming doesn't work, or you decide not to get it, you can rig up one using a computer power supply and a plug from Radio Shack. Many computer power supplies have no trouble outputting 3 Amps on the 12Volt rail(check the specs to make sure though).

  • @tom611

yea man i saw that video. that kid is super lucky to have the screen and the home kit and all boxed and mint....im sure he paid triple what i did. i wish i knew where he lived lol jk. I dont wanna hack a laptop supply since the polarity would need to be reversed and wont stand to last in time. i found one that will work and should be ordering it shortly. i got my eyes on somethin else at the moment so im working to secure the sale before i buy anything for this. im all over the place

  • @dankss I meant a desktop power supply, most enthusiast desktop power supplies from the past few years have no trouble outputting 3 Amps+, and should last quite a while. Wiring from a Molex connector should be fairly simple.

I had figured you'd seen that video, as I found it from the video you Liked the other day, but it wasn't in the other Suggestions bar of this one, so I thought I give a heads up to other Youtubers. A very lucky find on both yours and his.

  • @tom611

i found a perfect replacement that requires no modification... 12V 3.2A Center Negative 2.5mm.. ill have to ordeer it soon as theres only one available and someone else could snatch it... sadly im saving up for an arcade board someone has i really want... hes in austria though which is risky to order this time of year...

  • Lol man... I used to have that train track when I was a kid to, I still have the track at my dads but i havnt seen the train for years, I might order it now that its brought to attention lol do you know the make of it?

  • @Bloodsplat1

its fisher price.... i think we all had this model when we were young... I used to have all the carts. i remember one held barrels and there was a side toy that would trop them onto the train with the push of a button.. lol. great piece of memorabilia right there man.

  • That's a really cool system! Never heard of it before.

  • @usagi704

def a cool one man.... i hope i could get it running on the tv though.

  • You may have found a system that gamerster81 doesnt have. Excellent video. My eyes were glued the whole time. Just like you said never heard of this system. I mean I heard of FM Towns Marty but not the car edition.

  • @TheSideshowNick

i got maybe 3 systems that i know he doesnt have lol. The fm car marty, pc engine LT, and the pc engine duo monitor.... Gamester kicks ass though man.

  • dude i love your video and that system is nuts and pleeeeaasassseee don't hack the system use the wire harness it would make you like a shit ton easier to. but awesome video :)

  • @prime20

thanks man... ill try to use the harness but if not i will have to do what i have to do i guess.. i baught this willing to loose it if im not successful in my attempt.

  • Is there a screen or something that you would have needed to hook it up to so you could use the GPS in your car?

  • @milkmanchris111

they made a screen for it. its super super super rare and not even a picture of it on the internet. its one of the hardest things to find when it comes to collecting....

  • wow i think you managed to out-obscure the whole community on this one dankss hahaha. how much did you pay for that thing? Hope it was a steal...

gonna go read up a bit more on the marty now...

    good vid!

  • @bitchfacerecs

thanks for the comment man... i ended up getting a pretty good deal. lets just say that.... i found a guy in WI that didnt know what he had and i made him an offer to ship it to me on the east coast.... thankfully it made it. did u research the marty?

  • @dankss Yeah i did a little bit!

saw theres a japanese version of the secret of monkey island for the Marty going on ebay and the guy wants $1000 for it. Now THAT'S obscure. hahaha i'm sure the humour would hardly translate well.

  • did you get any games yet if you get one its mad stalker FMF best version imo , good find

  • @Perkinson78

I got viewpoint... thats the one i really wanted... it was like 150+ dollars... def a great port of an excellent tough as nails shmup.

  • FM towns suck wtf

  • Danks givin the Jersey salute, happy holidays everyone! haha

  • @romeoteknik

happy holidays to you to man..... did u go check out the tree man? Rockafella Center status?

  • Good stuff man, some very rare stuff you got there. I hope that Car Marty ends up working out for you, it's a serious piece of hardware.

  • @BossBossly

i hope so to D.... Im sure i will but if not its the nicest paperweight i ever had... haha

  • Christ! For 3500 that thing better have been able to transform into a car ahaha. That is an amazing system brother, I always love these rare ass pieces of Jap hardware you pick up. I am astounded by the rarity of that one though, good luck in the process of getting that beast fixed.

  • @911BONEZ

hahaha transform into a car it does not. lmao good one man.... congrats on the moves youre making on the youtube community bro. im happy for ya. leaving people like me in the dust hahaha....

  • WOW! Nice man! You just added a new system and the history of it to my knowledge of video games! See im with you, I just think those hefty machines from back in the day are just badass looking. Sometimes if I pick up an old computer/ or whatever piece of older technology that doesnt work, I just leave it on the shelf and its a great conversation piece lol. Anyways man. great pickup and congrats on owning it. Give us an update on your plan of hooking that bad boy to your tv! Merry Christmas! :)

  • @dawgchyper91

i hear ya man... thats one thing we have in common... i know youre into the more older consoles but i could relate when it comes to old stuff being kick ass compared to the weak crap they put out these days... Back then they were taking risks with technology that was just being found and for that i find it very interesting.... ill def keep you guys updated on the status of the car marty.

  • Now THAT is obscure. Great find man, I thought the Saturn was the only 32-bit console to support GPS technology. Looking forward to some footage of that beast in action.

  • @kingjimmysmit

nah man the car marty was first lol... the saturn one is def more sought after these days but certainly not the first of its kind.... either way the saturn and the marty were in a class of their own and nothing was even close.

  • Holy shit! I just saw a game on ebay for 600 bucks for that thing! Damn!

  • @youtubasoarus

the fm towns is no joke man...

  • @youtubasoarus

yea the indiana jones marty games are super rare....

  • cool find, im just now working on getting a neo geo cd since i dont want to shell out for some of the AES cart prices, and thanks for the help again with the AES it works like a charm

  • @transparencypro

i wish i knew i sold my neo cd a few months ago and got 2 cdz's..... if i decide to sell the boxed one which ive been thinking for a while ill let u know man... try to find a cdz itll cost you more but much better on loading. i sold my top loader because the loading was just unbearable... believe me when i tell you itll get old fast... find a cdz for sure.

  • @dankss oh i know the only bad thing is finding one i can snag up with just the power cable is a nightmare the shipping itself is ridiculous

  • @transparencypro

    ill find you one....
