  • 5750 & 5750 vapor-X , How Much Difference? Worth the Money?

  • how can it have memory clock 4640 when mine has up to 1430???????????

  • I'm planning on building a workstation for video editing and hope to have a 40" Sony Bravia and a 22" LG monitor. Will this be any good ?

If not, what would you recommend for a budget of £200

  • hey dude. i need your help about lagging on gaming pc. I got Motherboard Gigabyte GA-770T-D3L Amd Phenom x2 555 BE (stock cooler) Sapphire HD5750 Vapor~X WD HDD 500 GB sata 3 4 GB corsair value DDR3 1333MHZ Samsung DVD RW+ 2 LED cooling fan Gigabyte Superb 550watt im playing cod black ops and got some lags. Did i need to change a new psu or quad core processor? Give me your opinion. Thanks :)
  • hey guys..is sapphire HD 5750 good for 3D gaming?

  • yes you might want to fix the title. your trying to sell the product rather than a simple run through of what the card has to offer.

  • this was the most informative infomercial I've ever seen... wait what? This was a review... No... It was not.

  • Perhaps I will finally get a pc that can play half life 1 without lagging.

  • I LOVE MY HD 5750 :D

  • thank you sapphire for contributing to this review that doesn't scream bribe

  • @zomcom55 lol

  • He's just reading the crap Sapphire shoved in front of him. Does he actually think for himself in these reviews?!

  • For those who are looking for a cheap upgrade to their aging Geforce 8800gt or 9800gt, this card does the job nicely (speaking from experience). I recently replaced my 9800gt with this card, and so far I am not having any issues running games with it. I normally run everything at full settings, though I normally run texture filtering at 1x Anisotropic and turn AA off. Btw, my monitor runs at a resolution of 2560x1440, so it does a good job considering.

  • @jbrige lol dude, that comment is from nearly a year ago XD

  • Is this quiet enough for a HTPC?

  • hey should i buy the vapor-x 5750 or the iceq 5750?

  • @Nintendo129 the vapor-x is already overclock

  • is this better than hd4850 ice q4 turbo x?

  • @ochibi131 yes this card overclock better max 870mhz the 4850 cant do that.

  • I like the way you review dude, definetly subbed :D!

  • is this card cooling alright?

because my two previous ati cards (4850 hd 512 and 4870 hd 1gb)

both had overheating problems after a few months.

  • @Seirios86 both cards overheating suggests your case may be at fault with it's airflow. running this kind of card I would rec at least 1 input and 1 output large case fan, and if you have filters like my case, run these over a hoover to make sure they're not clogged with dust. In fact it can't hurt to hoover out the PC if you don't have dust filters.

  • will a 5750 vapor x and a athlon ii x4 620 run bad company 2 on max settings without lag?

  • @CrossyCriss

    FUCKING YES.

  • @micprn ok lol

  • whats the differance between the 512mb version and the 1 GB version?

  • best card for 150 pounds for gaming and editing videos?

  • @liltitch1997

I don't think graphics cards help out with editing videos, they might be able to help though.

5750 or 5770 are both plenty powerful.

  • is there big diffrent between 5750 and 5770? i wanna buy GPU for gaming what is better?

  • @Moigex The 5750 is cheaper, but is a little bit slower than the 5770 obviously

  • Nice ! I have the same card and there is something bugging me. On the top of the card you have 3 green led. Do they stay always on ? On mine one led flickers all the time. Is that normal ?

  • I have question if u have ATI radeon x and a game requires ATi radeon 9600, can it still work??? Answer as fast as posible

  • Hey, can i run this card with a 400PSU? Some people say it can and others say it might struggle, i have a quad core 4 sticks of DDR2 RAM, a Asus P45 mobo, and a 120mm fan. Can anyone help me?

  • hi ppl, do u think i can use it with a 500w power suply?

  • @marca0 yep

  • can i run this card with a 300 power supply? I'm using a quad core proccessor, will that help run it?

  • @BoyzLightenKingz

    Nope.

5670 probably will work on 300 watts.

  • why not just add a few more bucks and get a 5770?

  • how about the 5850 vapor x? i have the toxic one that is clocked at 735 mhz

  • Does Drit 2 come with "Sapphire Radeon HD 5750 1GB GDDR5 Vapor-X"?

  • Awesum review motherboardsorg,i just purchased a pair just for there DX11 factor and eye infinity ..woohooo ..

  • 4:28

    What the!!!

    Seriously...

My non vapor-x 5770 (Which should be hotter for the higher clocked GPU and the fact that it's not Vapor-x) idles at 31C and games at (don't know load) around 41C... 44C after a while.

though it is a non reference 5770. The Sapphire 5770 New Edition

  • @AmH032uTuBe Maybe the sensor is wrong.

  • so it's a cool graphic card or nt?...coz im thinking on buying it.

  • Sweet.. im so stoked, i ordered 1 2day. Cant wait til it arrives dammm

  • It's great value. Same price range as the GTS250 but It will give you more FPS, has Vapor-X cooling, ATI Eyefinity. Sweet...

  • I'm going to get two of these cards, hopefully that'll be equally as good as the GTX295.

  • ooohm...mistake? the review says 1.008 teraflops (see 1:32 ) vs more than 2 teraflpos at 3:14 ? can anyone explain?

  • is this card good for cod4 and cod6? could i run it in max resolution?

  • 3:08 what the........ he ses 5870.....

  • FOR DX 11 support under vista you have to install vista SP2 so check it out on windows update

  • you should get hd 5770

  • Is he just reading everything off the box?

  • Damn, i'm getting this :D

  • Show some clocks and stability tests, don't just read from the box. Seems like only the overclockers give solid bench reviews now-a-days, the rest are just ads.

  • Hey! I have a nvidia 9600GS and I want to upgrade it, but, i have a doubt about getting a sapphire hd 5750 or the 4870, what should I get? Thanks

  • no 5750 is nearly as powerful as the 4870

, it supports dx11 and it has a display port

  • i have display port on my 4870 too :)

  • but not dx 11 though

  • no , and i'm sorry that i don't have it , it looks great:(

  • 5750 or 4770 ?

  • 5750 newer and supports dx11 = better preformance

  • @hootis8 and faster?

  • True,it does have the advantage of DX11,but the 4870 is a much more powerful card.

  • no 5750 is nearly as powerful as the 4870

  • haha

    5%

because the 4870 is a lil bit bigger !

hey can anyone help me ?

    i just bought the hd5750

    and it runs amazing.

but i watched on control panel for video settings and there says no dx11:(!!!!!!!!!!

    only dx10 ! pls help ! i got vista NO Win 7

  • You need windows 7 to run dx 11. Just like XP only supports dx 9 and vista supports dx 10.

  • yeah but my new video card comes with dx11 . THE HD5750 have dx11 right ?

do i need to buy win 7 now ?

  • wrong vista will support dx11, and you can run dx10 on XP ;) (although for dx10 and xp you need a hack kinda thing)

  • yes mine also XP with dx10....

  • Hi, im using XP sp3 i just bought vapor 5750... so how can i upgrade to support bx10?.... change the OS?...

  • Yes. In order to access DirectX 10, you must upgrade to Windows Vista or Windows 7. You're better off with upgrading to Windows 7 since it supports DirectX 11. Your Video card supports DirectX 11 as well so it only makes sense yo go with Windows 7. WIndows 7 is also a vastly improved OS over Vista.

  • but my system runs dx10...

yes i agreed with u wins 7 is much better then vista.. in gaming terms also XP & win7 far much better then vista...

  • Windows XP only goes up to DX9, not DX10.

  • yes i know XP can support dx9 only, but y i can use dx10?.. i check on dxdiag it shows DX10.0 (4.10.0000.5515) i no lie!.... if my xp cant run dx10 then i have to reinstall dx9 again...

  • Even if you do the DX10 hack, it doesn't unlock all DirectX10 features.

Also, Windows 7 is actually very much improved. It may not look much different, but it's mostly under the hood stuff. I still think Vista was a good FPS, just it was a little rushed and Windows 7 is pretty much what Vista should have been. The compatibility of devices and programs on windows 7 is a lot better, along with many other things.

  • No, its called marketing.

  • Have you ever used Windows 7? It doesn't sound like it.

  • I work in IT, I use Windows 7 regularly. If you don't like the facts, I don't care.

  • Your "facts" aren't entirely true. Also I just noticed that in one of my posts above I referred to Vista as an FPS. What the hell was I smoking at the time lol.

  • no..

vista and w7 will both support dx11

  • is the HD5750 good for games? I'm checking out a computer with it and i wonder if it's good .

  • yes its good for games.

i had vista but know i got the win 7 ultimate and it runs amazing.

the hot thing is that i can run the dirt 2 game:all maxed out full resolution

and all that with 35 -40 fps

and my system isnt that good:

    amd x2

    2 GB ddr2

  • @Fatloph its at par with ati 4870

  • "is the HD5750 good for games?"

    Affirmative. :)

  • i think its on the same level as the gtx 260 or better so yeah it is

  • Looks like the GTX 260 probably can beat it most of the time.

  • no my gtx 260 rapes this

  • she is perfect

    is nice

  • dx11 IS NOT OUT YET

once its released you can have it on vista nd w7

  • lol, direct x 11 came out with windows 7.Dirt 2 is a direct x 11 game if you have the hardware to support it.

  • lol who told u this crap

man i got this card for 5 months now

and hell yeah i got win 7 and i got dx11.

and i got dirt 2 to test it out

and battlefield bad company 2 beta test is also dx11

    i got it too

    both are dx11//////REAL DX11

  • @WorldSpecialTV have you Sapphire HD 5750 Vapor-X 1GB?? if you do................tell me on what settings you are playing bad company 2.pls

  • How much are these running for? I just bought a 5770 2-3weeks ago, and now I wish I waited a little.. =\

  • Its just about twenty bucks over a standard one...

  • you think i could run a 2 5870's and 1 gtx 300 when it comes out and i can run it for physX? just something im curious about

  • You wont able to. Since physx works with nvidia gpu's only. A gt300 is expected to preform 5 times faster than a single 5870. This may be possible with a lucid hydra pcie controller though. The best bet is to wait for the gt300 sli 2 of them and buy a gts250 for dedicated physx

  • 5 times i think thats a bullshit ass lie

  • agreed!... ati kicks gt ass!...

  • yeah nvidia a fake ass company

  • Ahh, tyvm for your reply.

  • @motherboardsorg - I was thinking for X-MAS or my b-day of getting another 5770 to put in CrossFire. I currently own the 2nd edition of the Sapphire 5770s. It's the one which the plastic shroud is oval/diamond-ish shaped (it's non-reference, it's got copper heatpipes). For about £125 I can get a 5770 Vapor-X, and for £103 (atm) I can get the 3rd edition (non-referene) non-VaporX 5770 from Sapphire. Should I get that or the Vapor-X version? It's only a 100MHz Core increase, is it ANY better?

  • @AmH032uTuBe hmm u get ATi 6850 is more better..50% more perfomace...or ATi6870 double performance to ATi 5750.

  • @meishongzai - I believe I've found the one I'm looking for.

    from OverclockersUK

    I'm just getting another 5770.

It's cheaper than a 6870, and I can actually use both, and have like 98% of the performance of the 5870.

  • @meishongzai A good idea,badly my motherboard cant support crossfire :((((

  • I really love the vapor-x design...now I got a Sapphire Vapor-X HD 4850 and my next video card will almost surely be a vapor-x again!

    Can you imagine?...35C when idling!!!

  • wow the performance in resi 5 is really good.

  • PCI-E 2.1? PCI-E 2.0 Will work also right?

  • it will still work but the card wont work as well as it should

  • this is kinda weird. because there's no such a thing as pci-e 2.1, i'll just wait for pci-e 3.0 for next year :D

  • Yes it will.

  • is this card worth to buy? cuz in a cheaper price, i can get a 4850 which the performance is fairly same

  • Its a good card for the money,,, its cooling and overclocking are its main features....

    Elric

  • no the perf is not fairly same the 5 series have dx11 and it is a great difference so in my op the 5770 deserves a look at (y got 2 for under the price of a 5870 but more the performance)

  • Just get a 4870 and you will be very happy.

  • and dont forget that this card has dx11 and uses way less power than a 4850, also this card wen overclocked comes close to a 4890

  • what tool do you suggest using for overclocking, since i just got this card :)

  • ati Overdrive it shold have came with the catalyst drivers

  • yep it did ;)

  • lol it did wat?

  • it came with catalyst drivers.

  • oh yeah just us overdrive

  • @4ourTimber you are noob!!! don't compare a 5750 with 4850 because has a 4850 and sometimes when he plays games.. Suddenly appears diamonds in the whole screen and you should to turn down the game

  • @TheNavigator96 i commented that 7months ago wow....

  • sweet ,

  • OOoooohhhh... I like it. I wonder if there's any other Vapor-X 5xxx Series cards? Hmm... I'll just hafta take a look n see xD

  • 5770 from sapphire has vapor x as well

  • lol u can see the rendering of the vidoe at 4:38

  • not really the rendering but juz the editing of the video

  • So really, this is a 4850? it seams to beat out the 4770 in a long shot, and the 4770 is a tie with the 4850..

  • its a 5750

  • I know.. i'm saying the 5750 has the same performance as the 4850.

  • I want the Nvidia 300 series D:

  • I WANT ONE!
