  • Im goung to send you a funnel

  • @BrittanytheJBFAN hahaxD that is very kind of you but i have upgraded to a different bottle with a wider mouth. so no worries, no more baking soda is being wasted over here :)

  • Probebly the best way to avoid animal testing, is "make it yourself options". 'Cause you can't allways trust labels on things you buy, even if it's organic...

  • thanks for the tutorial... I'm going to try it!

  • you...are awsome.

  • My only problem was the Arm and Hammer which is made by Procter and Gamble which is a company notorious for its disgusting animal testing!

  • I managed to do this for about 6 months until I went on holiday and the water was different. Suddenly I had straw for hair and couldnt 'fix' it. Ended up getting an organic shampoo and went all nice and soft again

  • @suebanna What shampoo did you get??

  • @ccinbrooklyn I think we got Giovanni? We went to the little organic food shop and picked out one of them there. Unfortunately now we use any common old shampoo from the shop. Well I use conditioner as shampoo. But yeah we're looking to make the jump again into less chemicals. But maybe we'll wait until the summer when the kids arent in school.

  • If you're done with the shampoo and conditioner bottles anyway, why not just fill those? Unless you're creating a theft deterrent for collage roommates who like to steal stuff -_- then bottles are perfect.

  • @cryredd It is because it was those bottles that are extremely difficult to get the cap off of. haha but if you can get the cap off of your bottles then use them :) Oh no! that's terrible that they're stealing your hair products D:

  • The music made me happy too. I have been recently introduced to this method of washing hair, and I must say the wash result is really good, it's so good I can skip a day if I want! That never used to happen. I'm still using regular conditioner, though, we'll see what happens when I run out.

  • @craftologist haha yes Queen is wonderful xD oh I am so glad it has been working for you too! My hair is naturally pretty greasy and before I had to wash it everyday. The more I have used this method I have been able to go longer without washing my hair. Currently I can go about 3 or 4 days without washing it.

  • White Vinegar...not apple cider vinegar

  • @acrow11 if you prefer white vinegar then by all means use that :)

  • Can you add like, coconut milk or oil to it? And if you could, how much would you recommend?

  • @YummyBerrii yes you can add coconut oil to the apple cider vinegar rinse, just put a few drops in it :) you can add any essential oil.

  • @parakeetmakeup Awesome, thanks for the help~!

  • Great video. Apple Cider Vinegar is the best! Just one more thing...Rinse your hair in cool water or as cold as you can stand it. You will be so surprised at how healthy and shiny your hair gets. :)

  • could we use ordinary vinegar?..

  • @jenharp21 I did some research and it appears to be ok haha

  • I was out of baking soda so I used bicarb of soda. The result was explosive - for all the wrong reasons. I've got baking soda now so I'm going to try this today God willing.

P.S. get a funnel, half of your soda went down the sink :p

  • @1slamicLife oh no D: explosive messes are not fun. Hopefully you do get the cance to try it. and I did not have a funnel aha so I just worked with what I had. but now I have a bottle with a wider opening so now all my baking soda makes its way into the bottle :)

  • Can you tell me how vinegar can be used to condition the hair, doesn't this just strip your hair of oils rather than moisturise? I want to try it but my hair is coloured so I have been using usual shop bought conditioners.

  • @UniversalTrinity I did some research and the reason it works is because its acidic nature helps neutralize the pH balance of your hair. I found that it works just as well as any other conditioner, and I definitely recommend trying this since you have colored hair. I used to use special shampoos and conditioners for my colored hair but this works soooo much better at making my color last longer. Also I have noticed that I lose less hair throughout the day.

  • @parakeetmakeup Thank you very much, I will give it a try. Thanks also for posting the video, very informative.

  • @UniversalTrinity I've been rinsing my hair with apple cider vin + water for years. It makes your hair soft. I don't keep it in a plastic bottle (plastic releases toxins with continious use),instead I keep it in a glass bottle (empty beer bottle works just fine).

  • @ammusi Thank you for the information I appreciate it, also about the plastic bottles. I've noticed that a lot of things I used to buy, like olive oil, that were always in glass bottles up until recently are now in plastic, so I've started keeping glass jars and bottles for future use.

  • @UniversalTrinity I've been keeping some glass jars & bottles for a while now. The apple cider vinegar I buy comes in a plastic container and I empty it out into a glass bottle. Plastic is shyte for you and liquid in a plastic container helps release toxins from the plastic. The thinner and more flexible the plastic, the easier the toxins are released. I'm slowely trying to get plastic out of my life, it's not easy but it's worth the effort. Cheers

  • @ammusi I am drinking bottled water from plastic bottles. I don't know what else to do because our water smells very strong with chemicals. I wouldn't dream of drinking the poison that comes out of our taps, I'm just hoping that the toxins in the plastic bottle is the lesser of two evils. You are right, it is very difficult to get completely away from plastic.

  • @UniversalTrinity I don't know where you are, but where I live - by law - 15% of bottled water has to be what the label says it is and the rest can be tap water. However, if the tap water where you live sucks that much then yes, drink bottled water. Best bet would be to purchase a very good water purifier, which right now I just can't do. If you have access to spring water be careful there too - it comes from a water table (not a lake) and contains whatever crap falls onto the ground.

  • @ammusi I am in UK. You are lucky to have a clean source of water supply. I noticed that the bottled water I have been drinking tastes salty! I will look into the purifier. You may be interested in an article I found on 'Natural News dot com', click the link 'Special Reports' and read article 'Breast Cancer Myth'. It's explosive info which everyone should read, not just women. It's the biggest con the World has ever known. Stay healthy.

  • @UniversalTrinity Once you start researching the quality of water we have access to you start to discover how hard it is to get real, pure, clean water. The only place I know where I can buy it is a store near me that sells expensive water purifiers from Japan ($4000). He has one hooked up to a sink in the store and let's us come in with big containers and buy some. I've washed my face with it, cooked with it - it's SO much better.

  • This is great! I did it for a while and my hair felt AWESOME! Not exactly sure why I stopped haha... I need to start doing that again.

One way you can make it smell a little better (because ACV smells kinda funny) is to add a couple drops of essential oils. I liked lemon and eucalyptus, because it felt fresh and the eucalyptus helped with my dandruff. :D

  • @imXsoXnotXscene yes I've heard about using essential oils but I have yet to try it aha. Unfortunately, I have a slight dandruff problem and I'm allergic to eucalyptus D:

  • @parakeetmakeup can you do Tea Tree oil? That is supposed to help with dandruff, too [:

  • @parakeetmakeup I hear Tea Tree oil gets rid of dandruff, along with other things.

  • Cute, and, however, please check and re check yo sppeling (spelling)

    ;)

  • @smoooth23 hehe oh i do try and catch all my mistakes, but i have the tendency to edit these at night hehe and every now and then a spelling error escapes my attention until I have already uploaded the video. haha I only hope that people can figure out what I am trying to say and if they don't then they just ask :)

  • I use the same deoderant! lol. good video though!

  • @BeautyBeginners haha im glad I could help! :) but I understand your pain I've gone through the same thing before!

  • Just what I needed!! Any skin care tips?

  • @GleekTasaha i'll make a video once i get a camera with audio:)

  • nice info :)
