tuning down half a step means tuning all 6 strings half a step lower..so instead of EADGBE you tun EbAbDbGbBbEb

i learned by self teachng though, so even thought ive been playing for 3 years i dont know what Eb and Ab mean or sound like. i just know the basic meanings of chords like A Am B bar chords and things of the like.

everything is either a barred E or a barred A like Eb is a barred a on the sixth fret and Ab is a barred E on the fourth
