  • man looked like it was just warming up as it went past that was hauling

  • what should i get for my e maxx 9xl or 580 be doing bashing and speed runs. i want a motor with good tourque and a good top end, also which motor runs cooler?

  • @0RobotWarsIsTheBest0

That depends. Will you want to run 4S, 6S LiPo or NiMH? And how much of a budget do you have set aside for the system?

  • @milemarkers no worries, i have a caslte 1717 on the way!

  • the 580 are good motors!

  • where can i get one of these motors? could i mount it on the e-revo? and how? what ESC would i need? and would 8.4v 5000mah nimh packs be sufficient? what sort of speed could i expect?

  • whats your max speed on that?

  • I never took the time to tune the aerodynamics on the truck shown, but a customer with the same system clocked one on radar at 71 mph.

  • how are the diffs holding up?

  • The diffs held up well through the couple of hard runs on site here and while RC Car Action had the truck. The diffs were stock Savage units as I believe you guessed. I can only attribute this to adjusting the slipper properly and using the HD slipper spring on the KD web site.

  • is that lipo any good? is seems cheaper than any other lipo out there.

  • Yes. I've sold hundred on the months the packs have been available and have heard of ZERO reported failures.

  • Hi Dan, if i put this motor in my brushless revo what speeds do you think i could get with motor temps below say 140 farenheit? thanks

    Luke

  • wow so your saying that this motor is more powerful than the motor that comes with castle creations 2200kv one??? that was half throttle? seriously?

  • Yes. I might have been a little past half throttle. I've used the Castle 2200 kV motor and the Fiegao 580L motor in 1/6 scale electric trucks and the Fiegao always comes out on top.

  • imagine that hitting you leg....

  • The mamba monster can handle the power of that motor without over heat or toast result after a while ???

  • Simply put, yes.

    Dan

  • Nice one mate but got to be honest that sounded like it was at nearly full throttle if not full throttle lol,5*

  • Oh, take my word. After trying about a half dozen times to max out the E-maxx, I never got close to full throttle.

    Dan

  • Ok mate i'll take your word for it then LOL,keep them coming ok
