IAs someone who has worked in the phone industry for teh last 12 years, I agree wholeheartedly with your rant. However, the site with the article has a responsibilty, too. Ads are either paid for or used as payment by sites. As for income: Ever heard the saying, "And the rich just get richer"? Now you know where that comes from! As for your "need" to possess an iPhone: For as cool as they are, you don't really NEED one - you want one. Right?

Damn AT&T and damn Starbucks! You are very much right when saying I don't 'need' an iPhone, but that still doesn't make me want one any less! I too used to be addicted to caffeine and got off my just quitting cold turkey. You are going to become very irritable, maybe get the shakes, have a horrible headache and feel exhausted, but after a week or two that goes away and you feel wonderful! I think you should try it. :)

Why thank you! Yeah I was discussing with my friend about the iPhone and we both agreed it would be best to wait awhile till I get it. One being is 1st generation products always have bugs and kinks and I am not going to spend 600 bucks for a bugged out phone! Also the price drop and it won't be exclusively AT&T! :)

It was an ad on the internet. My friend who had a pop-up blocker didn't have the ad. But the fact of the matter is that the ad had no way of removing it. It remained there no matter what I did to it. Pop-up ads should not just sit there and never go away, you should be able to get rid of them even if you have no pop-up blocker.
