every instrument in band is really important... i play the sousphone... without out woodwinds we wouldnt have a nice sound i admit im more of a brass man myself but flutes have higher pitches so yeah =)
im playing that in band. its a really fun piece. my band director was a trumpet in the SC band and now he teaches middle school so he arranged it 4 us and its really awesome

we tried to get rid of the woodwinds, but they wouldn't let us... apparently they're heard in Conquest.
