  • all this stuff is already invented but big corporations just want to milk you for your money for example 3D tv's have been out for a long time but they just recently came out and holographic display been out for a long time now but not for sale b/c they wanted to milk you for your money by buying big screen tvs

  • I bet if America would put more time, effort, and funds into the Science & Technology field, we could come up with different, cool shit like this that could be useful in so many ways ! Things like this could be used in the military, equip it with thermal sensing and bingo !

  • Dear santa....

  • Dennou Coil!

  • @aneromatnas lol i was gonna say that along with the other 2 people

  • It's like the eye/ear piece on dragon ball z

  • "We expect this display will be used in industrial applications"

    FUCK THAT, VIDEOGAMES NOW!

  • Coooooooool !!!!

  • Holy shit... seems like my children will be cyborgs. Scary shit.

  • ITS OVER 9000

  • i can see this being used a lot for commercial purposes like security personnel.

  • I will use it to fly my cam-heli and at the same time watch the fpv image I'm recording.

But then again I guess it would be insane expensive. :-(

  • That manikin head made me laugh for about 60 seconds straight on skype. I don't know why.

  • Star Trek TNG did it first :p

  • Cross-Com Activated!

  • holy shit! this is monumental in the world of AR

  • God damnit, America! Stop mass producing guns and start making all the cool sci-fi junk before Japan takes it all!

They've already made Holograms, Robots, Clones, Mechs, whatever the fuck this thing is, Mind-controlled Robots, and a bunch of other shit!

  • @Izula all the better to blow their house down and take the robots for us!

  • @Izula

America is already ahead of Japan in regards to robotics because of Boston Dynamics. We are also farther ahead in many other technologies as well. The reason Japan seems so advanced is because they are entertainment based and are a massive economic power. I'd say things are going well with our tech.

  • Finally, it does not take saiyan might to crush one.

  • That settles it. Im moving to Japan starting a company and buying a ton of these.-if only I could-

  • Why do Japanese people always seem so nerdy, cute, and smart?

  • @deviantcreep It's simple. Because you're a weeaboo.

  • Virtual Boy DS?

  • The manikin head has the creepiest fucking smile ever.

  • Make the 'screen' bigger, place one on each eye and add a camera for tracking: some awesome potential for 3D augmented realty games.

  • MY VISION IS AUGMENTED

  • @DoctorCapitalist

You'd want to wait a few years for that, actually. Lenses and implants which support a single LED light have been made, but the battery (It charges wirelessly) has to be very close by.

  • Nappa: Vegeta, how much do they say those new scouters will cost???

Vegeta: OVER 9000!!!! *breaks old scouter*...oh shit..

  • It's over 9000!!

  • The year is now 2011, and I still can't order one of these badboys off Amazon :(

....It would make me really happy to be able to one up all those people walking around wearing hands free bluetooth headsets.

  • ...

  • Comment removed

  • Oh god they called this a scouter haha

  • WTF JAPAN MAKES !!! :0

  • This isn't a new technology. VRDs were already commercialized several years ago (and not just by japanese companies for that matter).

  • wait, this is japan. that means its OVER 8000!!!

  • @desirebluesky Omg lol that's what I'm thinking deep in my head

  • Can this tell how high is someone's power level?

  • i wish they made one able to cover the whole view for both eyes. i'd make it display 3D image of Miku Hatsune when i fap. SO RONERY.

  • I can watch porn without having to close the window when someone appears

  • @GabXriel8 then teenage boys all around the world will lose those lighting sharp reflexes XD

  • @theophilis Hehehehehe

  • could they get sued from the guys who created DBZ? i mean they did technicly create this device and im sure they have made toys of it probbly all trademarked.

so do you think they will get sued? in this day and age i bet they will.

  • @thelasthallow theres no way, such devices existed in mass media way before DBZ

  • @desirebluesky thats what im saying. the guys who created and or now own the DBZ Trademark Also made a scouter yes i know it was a cartoon but they have made scouter toys. and they pretty much do the same thing (in theory) as what this company has done. there for its kinda like plagiarism. they stole there idea and it was even copyrighted.

  • @Kiphrane And China and Russia say," How can we implement this is war?"

P.S I hope you don't live in America you ungrateful moron. Also I hope your country hasn't benefited from all the millions Americans donate. Hopefully you're some moron talking from a cave.

  • ghost in the shell.

  • @Kiphrane The saiyans already implemented this into war. It reads power levels.

  • @Kiphrane Every country ever has taken advantage of technology for their military.

  • technology at its best!!!

    Brad

    fttc.co

  • Somehow, this doesn't seem like a good idea for the eyes. I have a feeling there will be unintented consequences. I will not be amongst the first people to give this a try.

  • Wow, this is amazing.

  • @Kiphrane I can assure you that US will not be the only country.

  • ASIAN FTW

  • @Kiphrane No, more like how the fuck can i use this for my xbox nigga.

  • @Kiphrane O god too true lmfao

  • O.o spy glasses

pretty soon if you look at anything your glasses will identify it and a whole bunch of information will scroll down on a green colored screen in front of your eyes like in spy movies

  • Funny. They call this the AirScouter. I'm surprised there's no "OVER 9000" jokes.

  • reminds me too much of the "eyescreen."

    Uglies series anyone?

  • shit...

  • but does it play bluray? thats the question!

  • @MrCoronaMan

The max resolution is 800x600, so, i guess, no.

But this is just the beginning!

  • I predicted this technology some 15 years ago. In the 90s when the virtual reality goggles was popular. But people got headaches from regulat goggles so the hype went away. I predicted that it would be better if a picture was projected directly into the eye.

And now the technology is here. Amazing.

  • @kitsune2222 missed the patent it seems

  • Holy shit. That's fucking epic.

  • there will be cell phones pc video and all the reception will be in your head.or is it allready?

  • Ghost Recon Ripoffs !! :-p

  • @Kiphrane And why does that matter (aside from cliche anti-American sentiment)? War, like it or not, is the great inventor. Governments can pour money into projects, both private and that of the public sector, on a scale that no corporation can match. The foundations of the internet were laid for nearly fifty years up until the early 90's largely by the US DoD. Same goes for these displays, they've been used or in development by various armed forces around the world for nearly twenty five years.

  • @plastik892 As morbid as this sounds, industrialists pushed America into many of the wars we've been involved in for the sole purpose of setting our economy in motion. It makes sense. Wars bolster economies.

  • Im movin to japan boys and girls

  • Dudeee this reminds me of Outlaw Star, Gundam Wing, DBZ and soo many more!

  • i need one of these. now. price?

  • wow, the human mind and its capacities really impress me

  • What's next, mechs?

  • @Kiphrane I would wager that the US had it 10 years ago.

  • I thought this technology was already picked up by the military Captain Scott Mitchell wears something similar On his Ghost Recon Missions. CROSSCAM!
