Thank you so much for the link! What they should have done: extend this 12-mins in a whole episode shown AT THE BEGINNING of season 6. Just imagine: everyone waiting to know wtf happened with the bomb and you show an episode entitled "Present" instead, with Ben, Hurley and (finally!!!) Walt as main characters. Such an episode would make sense only at the end. To do so, they should have cut down all the god-brothers total nonsense which really ruined the show...

Good show, but the writers made it messed up mixing science time travel after death and two god yin yan keepers. They mixed it and could not explain it at the end all. For god shakes I watched it 6 years to show me that the smoke was the transformation of evil (the guy was evil because wanted to live the island) ! and the concept was two brothers like Kain and Avel. And at the end nobody says what was that island ?

Poor scenario with out imagination at the end.

@alejokattana Use your imagination - Jin was infertile before he got to the island, could be something to do with that. And sun gave birth off the island - it was in the late stages of pregnancy in which the woman died, not during conception.

Everyone on the island also had to be there to fulfill their purpose and get through purgatory - its possible it was Sun's purpose to become pregnant there and have a child (as she and Jin had struggled in the past to do so)

Surely aren't the big questions things like: Who made the statue and the temples? why do women die when pregnant? the numbers? what did hurely and ben get up to on the island? how did jacobs mother get on the island? why did smokey hate Mr Eko? How is walt special? why did Sun and the pilot end up i nthe past when they returned?

The epilogue was alright but spent a valuable 12 minutes of time answering pointless questions.

@GunnerSlave I think they answered the pregnancy thing when he explained about pregnancy in polar bears and EM radiation.

The numbers corresponded to the candidates.

Hurley and Ben will be featured in the sequel series next year (I think - that's what I heard)

Eko was "a sacrifice that the island demanded" - it led them to find his 'jesus stick' which led them north, to the Others.

Sun and the Pilot didn't. The rest went to the past because they were supposed to cause the incident.

The natives or the 'others' most likely made the statues and temples etc - they've forever lived on the island.

Pregnant women probably die because they were in purgatory when impregnated - how can a ghost conceive a child? (different for Claire as she is alwready pregnant to begin with)

Hurley and Ben wouldve taken another 2-3 seasons to cover - it was thier own story that was MEANT to be left for us to envision...

Jacob's mother got on the Island the same way anyone does - they're brought there by their predecessor. E.g. Jacob brings Jack to replace him. It's a constant cycle - no one knows where it began just as no one knows the origin of mankind...

Smokey was testing Eko - he failed to confess for his brother's death, and so failed his purgatory. (didnt pass over in season 6) where as for E.g shannon passed hers as she got someone to beleive in her, which she could never do off island.

the numbers were simply Jacob's way of planning events - they helped him manipulate people more easily into coming to the island - they helped him keep track of things.

Walt maybe had a gift - but this one is tough - lots of the Losties had gifts - be creative.

Sun, the pilot and the rest of them didnt go back because they were not candidates - they did not belong in the past with the other candidates that the island brought together.

@GunnerSlave the statues were hundreds of years ago, some history shit that has no relations to the story, the pregnant thing WAS answered, electromagnetic leaks after the incident caused it, the numbers are the candidates numbers, and were frequently used as a tradition, nothing more. eko wasnt a candidate, jacobs mom just got there jeez whats the mystery...walt makes things he thinks about happen when he's pissed, or sth. sun was no longer a candidate back then, frank never was. god.....

They built the statue, the temples, and the cork and the wheel. Electromagnetism causes the pregnancy issues. The numbers are degrees on the dial of Jacob's lighthouse. Walt is special because he becomes the future (probably permanent) protector of the Island. (after Hugo). Which is why he wasn't in the afterlife, because he wasn't dead.

He wasn't in the church at the finale because everyone that was there moved on with the people that they spent the most important and meaningful part of their life with. (island) However, Walt didn't spend the most important part of his life with the people that moved on in the church together. He was only a teenager with them, and hadn't done very much living yet.

Answers were ok, but where the hell is Desmond? They really needed to show him finally reuniting with his wife and son, not asleep on the island. Desmond was the biggest character to not get a big emotional scene in the finale too.
