overlapping songs is a very simple thing to do and it wont work 95% of the time. The song was very nice on its own. Instead why not you figure out how she did it and formulate your own version of a song by yourself rather than just post something like this.. imo you need to ask your dad for advice. And its not a remix.. lol.. find out wat a remix is

But she's one of my favorite artists, and I think she'd at least appreciate what you did.

I myself did enjoy it. I think it worked nicely. The song is about the holidays and as much as we'd like to just make it one pretty perfect thing, it just gets very hectic most of the time. I think this portrayed it nicely, Well done!

ok, but way to cluddered at some parts. just lower the volume of the overlay "just for now" and allow the chorus to ring through the overlay. 1:30 - wayyyy to cluddered. just work with the volume levels and im sure it'll be ok. --- use adobe soundbooth, or ableton live. both good programs.

Oh it wouldn't be too hard, you just need to play both the tracks at the same time on a media player and record them. You can edit it afterwards and voila, you've done it. This may not have been the way this girl did it, but I'm sure you could do it that way.

Up until 1:15 or so it was GREAT. Not flawless - but quite good! After that the vocals got cluttered and phrases were repeating. Good effort @ remixing without master tracks since doing so is usually a lost cause!

I think it's very nice. If you are new to remixing you did a very good job. May I suggest that during the second verse yes, they don't match up and it sounds a bit cluttered but other then that you did very well. I enjoyed it!
