@kylerj12 no extra torque at all, all mid to top end power. practicly a 2 stroke. over-all pretty disapointed with the bike after riding it for 7 months, up to 35 hours and in another 30 will probably need full engine re-build. new motor design runs really hot. cant start in gear. one of the 2 sump plugs is in a dog of a spot. if you drop the bike it will instantly crush and bend your radiators.bike is set up for 85kg + rider very stiff suspension. would reccomend getting yz250!!!!!!!

i have always raced and ridden yamaha since 1998, its just my preferance, but sure all the different brands have different features. its all down to the rider though, any one of the 4 big brands could easily be beaten by the other in a race situation. none the less, the '10 yz450 seems damn awesome
the only thing i dont get is what advantage does ghanging the position of the crank have?, its understandable on the power stroke having a straight rod, but its the angle its on when on the exhaust & compression stroke that does my head in.

i have always raced and ridden yamaha since 1998, its just my preferance, but sure all the different brands have different features. its all down to the rider though, any one of the 4 big brands could easily be beaten by the other in a race situation. none the less, the '10 yz450 seems damn awesome

the only thing i dont get is what advantage does ghanging the position of the crank have?, its understandable on the power stroke having a straight rod, but its the angle its on when on the exhaust & compression stroke that does my head in.

thats all said and good but in all honesty you could put james on any bike and he would dominate in the long run its the rider and not the bike...i ride a 08 crf450 and i am a huge fan of hondas 450's and i do not see how this could be domo against the hondas...

1. This bike is a fucking beast and it is one of the most insane bikes I have ever seen made. 2. I like how Yamaha changed the style of their front fender. 3. Honda makes the best 250f (the CRF250R) and 4. This bike most likely would beat the Honda CRF450R (2010) but it wouldn't "blow it out of the water"

Dude, learn something about bikes before you talk about them. 1. The 2010 YZ450F will blow the 2010 CRF450 out of the water. 2. Stewart is riding the yamaha, so of course it will win. Who is gonna win a championship for honda? Tedesco?

reed is actually on a kawi...and for the record hondas new 450 is a good bike but they lost there touch over the years...now companies like kawi and yamaha are catching up and surpassing honda technology....wouldnt be surprised if this bike or the new kx 450f wins bike of the year..and if stewart can stay on the bike he is untouchable...reed just cant hang....put stewart on a pw 50 he would still fly...the guy is just a naturally gifted rider

Another honda pussy what do you ride, who on the honda team is going to beat Stewart? Tedesco, no, and as much as i like Windham, the odds are not in his favor. James is still the fastest kid on the bike. Reed just cant beat Stewart. Villipotto and Alessi have a much greater chance of keeping up with stewart.
