also, (sorry, i know, i have so many questions), what size are your boots? how do you think they fit? i bought a size 8 black worn in dr. martens from urban outfitters online and i'm sending them back so i can try the 7 instead. i just hope they don't look huge! i just short toes and a wide foot so i just need some tips!

@Toujoursalex well, i just got a pair. I'm a size 11 and purchased a size 11 and they fit perfectly, with a little bit of room to move around my toes. Hope I helped:)

Personally, I think docs look much better with colour :) and you do talk about them (clunky, manly and 'lesbianish' ) as if you're only wearing them because everyone else is :) they weren't made to be a feminine shoe, so I think they look a little bizarre with your outfits. A giant plaid (play-d) shirt worn open with an old led Zeppelin shirt and jeans or shorts so worn they're covered in holes and a trusty pair of battered docs is the way forward :) but that's just my opinion :)

I am very petite so what length of boots do you recommend for short girls? I try not to let boots go beyond mid calf as I feel sometimes they make my calves chunky and make me look stumpy...

I love these boots, can wear them with tights, shorts, skirts, jeans and in any weather. And best of all they are durable, worth the price and have great traction so you can wear them in any weather. I have designer shoes over 1k a pair that I can't wear on rainy days because of the HORRIBLE traction. I own the exact same first pair you wore. I love how punk/masculine Docs are because I'm a girl but I hate stuff too feminine. But my feet are so tiny I can only purchase kid size (size 2)!!

Actually, even the girly girls in the early 90s wore a big plaid shirt with Docs.... A lot of girls still do it, including me. :)

@XxxKityxx definitely wear color if you're confident in it! I personally don't wear a whole lot of color, so I would stick with black, maybe white, but if you have color in your wardrobe embrace it!

Thanks, I have old Dr.Martens from 1989 and are originals from England I own about 12 pairs and clean. They never go out of style, I had offers from girls to buy my vintage ones. They can wear more on the man side if your not careful, stumble on your video and gave me a great tip with skirts, I seen that 1980's style skirt your wearing at stores and I owned some like that in past.I told myself I never buy that fabric again.Well its back and looks nice on you.

@cc199316 they're an 8, and they are a bit big. they're much more comfortable with a snug fit so fluffy socks are the way to go!

@cc199316 I wish I had sized down, but I think either way would work. the only hassle with sizing up is you have to wear thick socks otherwise it will rub on your heel, and your feet will be loose in the shoe.
