Before the fight, in the locker rooms, Rashad Evans made jokes about Japanese People. Bad luck for Rashad, as Lyoto Machida is Japanese Brazilian. Machida then knocked the living fucking shit out of Rashad Evans.

u might be right, i read Silva is gonna leave UFC when his contract is up. He is in fact defonately gonna fight Roy Jones Jr. in a boxing match. This is gay, he belongs in the UFC. And a Silva, Machida match would be the absolute best match up of any 2 fighters around now.

If they won't fight then neither one deserves any title cuz u can't hold a belt and claim to be the best pound for pound fighter but say u won't fight the only person who is a good match up for you. Besides from my experience friends always get closer after a good brawl.

I doubt Anderson will beat Lyoto, although he definitely is the only person who has a shot at it. Anderson Silva used to train with Machida, and according to Silva, Machida was the only person who would beat him in sparring. Silva also refused to move up to 205 for the longest time because, as he put it, "that's Machida's division".

tupiniquim76 : No thats a lie. Brazil is 49.7% White, and 42.6% Pardo. For the people that don't know, Pardo is a Brazilian person of mixed race ancestry, it includes mixture of whites, blacks and Amerindians. That means mulattos, caboclos, etc are consired pardo.
Now Lyoto Machida is I think a Eurasian. His father Japanese(Asian), his mother is I think European decent I heard she had italian descent but IDK for sure.

wow, i have never seen Machida that agressive. I would still love to see how he does against a very powerful and very technical puncher or boxer. Machida vs Silva would be explosive to see. Machida vs rampage would be just as sweet. Many people don't see it this way but i still think rampage stands a better chance against machida than rashad did. Ironically, the only guy who's come close to beating muchida was Ortiz. A guy with no great boxing skills or bjj.

Machida would take Rampage apart piece by piece, which is why Rampage decided to completely avoid a Machida fight. Now, a Machida vs. Silva fight? That will be the fight of the century. They are the two most technical stand up fighters the UFC has ever seen and are light years away from everyone else.

I agree that a Silva vs Machida match is highly interesting. But, as for Machida taking Rampage apart "piece by piece" is highly subjective on your part. The only thing i have to say is that fights don't take place on paper so to speak. Nothing is guaranteed in MMA regardless of how seemingly unbeatable a fighter may be. Who would have thought that Tito Ortiz of all people was gonna be the only fighter to date in the UFC to come to within inches of puting machida to sleep with a triangle choke?

Anyways, the chances are still very likely that Machida will take Rampage apart, but of course Rampage always has that small chance of getting an EXTREMELY lucky KO (since it's Machida we're talking about, who has been hit the least percentage of times out of all UFC fighters), or getting a submission.

i very much doubt that my friend. I don't believe in so called Lucky KOs. These guys are professional fighters and they train for months at a time to prepare for a fight. They study their opponents, they watch countless hours of tape to try to discover weaknesses on each other. You're telling me after all that dedication, he simply lands a LUCKY shot? No Way. You'll need a hell of alot more than luck to beat any elite at 205. You don't hink rampage can do it, but i think he can without luck too.

I did, however, say that a lucky shot is Rampage's only chance of winning a Machida fight. If you disagree, you probably haven't seen many Machida fights.
Everybody studies their opponents hard before each fight, yet there are still many lucky KOs in MMA. Of course it rarely comes into play, but it sounds like you're actually saying luck is NEVER a factor, which just makes you sound like you haven't watched many fights.

I never said you said that either. I simply said if rampage catches Machida on the chin, IT'll not be by luck. Why? because straight punching is where rampage lives. That is his bread and butter so to speak. However, if he pulls a head kick KO, That would be a different story because he's not known for kicking. And yes i have seen all of Machida's fights and i do acknowledge that he is the less hit fighter in MMA. However, if he gets caught by a guy who loves to punch, it would hardly be luck.

i don't think i would say he beat tito "easy". I mean i am no tito fan but lyoto ran the whole damned fight. He definately didn't embarrass tito like he did rashad and Thiago alves. Ironically enough, Tito almost came out victorious with a triangle choke just when the bell sounded. That is something that people tend to purposely over look when talking about that fight. They forget that ortiz almost choked machida. And machdia said that he wasn't gonna tap, he'd rather go to sleep.
