Thanks a lot for posting these videos. It makes me proud to see all of those people training to become better at what they've always wanted to do. I would feel honored to join SWAT. Is there a procedure that I must follow or can I just sign up somewhere?

Once you join SWAT, you're no longer a policeman? Do you still do a policeman's duty, or are you SWAT from then on?

Excuse my ignorance; joining the police force has long been an aspiration of mine.

yes you would still have your regular duties until you are called out for a swat operation when needed

My army training was a lot more tough than what Im seeing here, however it seems like a decent training program so far up to week six.

same here. the only thing that would be holding me back is that i'm not so in shape. sure, i can think tactically, and yes i'm a good shot, but being physically sound is just as important. i say the best thing we can do is start at being as healthy and active as possible.

just remember, ur a regular cop most of the time. That's the only reason I'm going SEALs instead.

@SWATFITNESSTRAINING question, what kind of training do you need before you can become SWAT? or is there any pre-training in order to try out for SWAT training? I guess my main question is, are there any requierments in order to recieve this kind of training to try out for SWAT?

@LordGorgoroth You don't "need" any training before you join SWAT per se, but if one is not in good condition, they will probably fail the try outs to join. Many in SWAT tend to have military experience, but not all. Many are police officers who decide they want to be on a SWAT team, and go apply and try out. So, be a cop, apply to be SWAT, and off you go. Good luck

where do you boys train? I was 29th force protection in the usmc and now iam a element leader in the nj state police t.e.a.m.s unit and i completed my training both in house and at blackwater in Nc
