you do realize in America atleast. Animals are not treated this way. I know at the company i work for. Every thing is quick. The cattle comes in a door then is stunned/killed with a shot to the head then shackled which suspends them from the ceilling for the duration of the processing part. The time it takes for the cattle to enter and be killed is a matter of seconds. People need to know what is done to animals and how bad it is for our health to eat the animals that are treated in this manner. I agree, it is nearly unbearable to watch, but if people know what goes on then the animals may have better lives. The easiest (and, I mean easiest) thing to do is not eat any meat. I've not eaten meat in 25 years: don't miss it. I have saved 1000's of animals from pain.

farming like that is wrong and I've never met a farmer before that wouldnt use proper practice, painkillers and vets. I spent a lot of my life on my uncles farm rasing cows for the beef industry and can truly say not every farmer does that. further more the fact that people are omnivores is reason alone enough to get me to want to follow the PROPER course and eat meat, dairy, grain, friut and vegetables. if ya dont like farmed food then go out and hunt urself the way nature intended.

I would respect that, even though I still think it's wrong to kill an animal if you don't have to (and we DON'T have to, thats a fact.). In addition you can't feed the world with "hunt for your own", think of all the city people! For most humans (I'm not talking about native people) it's either factory farms or a vegan diet. So, choose yourself what is better. I've chosen the vegan way.

@199jl apart from whats in the store. if ya want free range animals and dairy go to small meat or butcher shops and dairy wholesale stores that by direct from farmers there is a HUGE DIFFERENCE in the well being of the animals. and by the way because i dont think u know a less stressed animal producese less chemicals in its body to lower its stress and will in fact taste better. 90% of factory farmed food goes to companies like McDonalds and other fast food outlets

Informiere dich mal bitte richtig. Statistisch sind auf Großschlachthöfen 10-15% alle Kühe NICHT richtig betäubt,wenn Ihnen der Hals durchgeschnitten wird. Sehr viele Schweine werden bei vollem Bewußtsein gebrüht, etc.

Wie kommst du auf sich "überlegen fühlen"??? Vegan zu werden ist primär immer eine Gewissensentscheidung, keine Ernährungsentscheidung. Auf jeden Fall ist man so nicht Mitschuld an dem Leid und dem Tod der Tiere und der Zerstörung großer Teile unserer Umwelt.
